how come I see people eating leftovers at food courts/hawker centres? Or old uncle and auntie selling tissue papers? Or people living by the seaside?

The income gap is a little far apart, but have you ever notice that if it wasn't far enough, people would be richer than the government ?
Government hates that, and they want to be the richest, therefore they use propaganda to control the country, like wise in other "democratic" countries.
sometimes, its really not our fault, and we really shouldn't waste our time thinking of this. -
The income gap is not the fault of the govt.
I remember the case of an employed man and his son living in an empty flat.
He turned down a job.
The problem with most singaporeans is, they tend to look to the govt for solutions for everything, even their own private matters. -

there are recreations. some cost more, some cost less. poor people shld not spend so much, period.
senseless people will indulge in gambling and drinking. thats not govt's fault.
