="friedguest"][size=18] Click YouTube under http://www.youtube.com and see how civilized and well mannered our parliamentarians are compared to their Malaysian counterparts! I feel so sorry for their opposition members, esp the non bumis fighting those classless UMNO monkeys.Auto-piloted every presumably good policy to the other extremes are worse.
I'm so glad that LKY opted out of Malaysia instead of taking the shits from them.

Always is your strong assertion as well. If there is a government that causes rising costs of living and many other problems, then the problem is not with the people. Those who give views are better than those who do not as apathy may cause abuse of power. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Government is paid to do a job and people are not.Originally posted by :Everything on earth has its co-existing opposite.
Nothing is absolutely good nor ansolutely bad........
Your post(s) almost always contain(s) nothing but your personal assertions: ....... This is bad! Perhaps you would care to explain why you have derived your view that something is bad......... because for everything you declare bad, I can also easily see many other good!
Unless you do so, I am apt to treat every of your post as bo liao!
Better to keep quiet and be suspected of being stoo-pid than to pour everything out and confirm that one indeed is stoo-pid.......!
Then it would be good, if you will highlight the 'goods' about the government and their policies...?Originally posted by :Everything on earth has its co-existing opposite.

Hehehe....Originally posted by royston_ang:Our parliament is always so orderly because the oppositions are simply too weak (only 2).
If there are much more oppositions in the parliament, who can guarantee that the parliament will still remain so quiet?![]()
gay means quietOriginally posted by maurizio13:Hehehe....
Compared to other countries, we are like the gay community of parliament.
Oh please. YOu mean our parliament as an "opposite"?Originally posted by :Everything on earth has its co-existing opposite.

Personal assertions? Why you are asserting that his asserts are his and you are asserting that there is a good. And please, tell us what is good about our system that allows the ministers to rob its own citizens legitimately. Perhaps you will also illustrate why there is a need for this "good" when other countries have demonstrated that their economies do not depend entirely on Govt policy but they successfully make a living for their own. That is the trouble with the bulk of Singaporeans; happy to live in a so-called Disneyland protected by external externalities, but too petrified to face down the ugly backside of it. So protected they feel their entire will to live rests on material goods and minimal effort put in.
Let's also do a count as to how long it takes our resident Village Idiot to budge in and demand we "substantiate" our "claims".![]()
Please, even GCK admitted the system is more meant to coast MPs who can't articulate well to the public to Parliament, never mind whether or not they can even do anything of worth.Originally posted by Meat Pao:Sir...
1. Hospital bills...utility bills all this.....I think is just a middle way of running an organization without making it a bloated and incompetent public organization. So they are trying to instill some characteristics of private organization into it. This is actually good because it can avoid some public organizations ills and malaise.
A very good example of this desire is...HDB corporatization...and NUS/NTU extra autonomy....to quote 2 recent examples.
From those we can see the thought process.........they are going forward trying to deliver public goods but with private efficiency.
I think this is good. I like the Singapore model.
2. GRC is actually a kind of affirmative action to include more women and minorities. It is surprising anyone would find fault with this.....Is it not good to have an inclusive system, with more women and minorities? I thought this is actually healthy. Imagine if the opposite is true, if certain races are under-represented in parliament.....maybe it will cause discontent....So the current system is good.
