Theonlinecitizens - a truly independent site for citizens?

TOC team has actually done citizens a disfavour by allowing this site to be associated to some government counter-insurgents whether they know it or not.
How could TOC expect fellow citizens to believe Ephraim to say things that are objective and factual which may be critical or over-critical of the government.
Since he came on board, several of my posts are now considered too long with rather zealously edited or cut short for flimsy reason although in the context of the issues being raised some elaborate posts might actually be needed for the purpose of particular discussions.
Whether this is another site cleverly disguised as independent remains to be seen.
If such a site is created indeed for citizensÂ’ contributions to government, it should stay independent in substance and in every sense of the word. Many government sites like Reach, feedback unit, youngpap or other government sites are losing their credibility because of large presence of government cyber counter-insurgency agents as announced by minister Lui Tuck Yew.
So judge for yourself forumers whether TOC is becoming just another site under scrutiny by cyber counter-insurgency so as to indoctrinate citizens to have “better” understanding of their policies. -
Dude, it's not about TOC, it's about how you write your posts. Some of them, honestly, are too long and are not layman-friendly..
TOC has been around a long time, ever since it was known as Young Republic. It grew out as an offshoot of YR, which was more of a mailing list. If you had hung around YR, you would know that the chaps behind TOC are not who you suspect to be.

I still feel that TOC is independent in their editorial methods. Although I don't expect Ephraim to post anything that is not pro-PAP ( he is a card-carrying party member after all), logically speaking, it could provide the driving force for other members to post more robust articles. That is my opinion. Personally, although I've submitted an article or two to TOC before, I feel that there's a few more aggregators in the market like SingaporeAngle and IntelligentSingaporean, the latter whom I prefer to read.
TOC will be subject to popular opinion, and the blogosphere does not take kindly to misleading websites, so I won't be too worried about this issue.. because the marketplace of ideas will take care of itself. -

Wait and see is my stand as from past experience nearly all the post-65 MPs and younger ministers and wannabe only care for their own career advancements rather than speaking up on existing wrongful policies which caused many problems to the citizens. -

Many sites started as promising. Like talking kok.
Now, its shutdown since dun know how long ago till now, still down and no clear reason for shutdown.
Maybe some of you know the true reason.

Colin is busy with other projects as well. And if you've followed their site, they always get server problems.
Maybe their server company's Indian outsourcing hit a speed bump in database management? You know how American firms are..
