Yup after SG's separation from M'sia (M'sia prefers to use the words 'expel', 'removal' rather than separation), the PAP branch in Malaysia becomes DAP in 1966 in which ex SG president Devan Nair was one of the pioneers of the party
Currently DAP is the biggest opposition parties in M'sia and it's Chinese based party.......
OT a bit, there's a small party in S'pore called PKMS (Which is one of the components of SDA and a Malay based party) and they are actually UMNO's Singapore branch before independance...... And they are still closely linked with UMNO presently......
