Hello Friends,
I heard from a person in kopi shop that he estimates there are around 8 to 10 thousand singapore residents convicted each year. Believe this figure or not, please check it up.
I use the term Resident since I do not have figures specific for citizens. Just like the job creation figures for citizens.
What does this mean?
over the last , say, 20 years, around how many have records in singapore?
Lets say, 20 x 10 K = 200 K residents. That is 1/5 million people. And we are only estimating for the last 20 years. Singapore exist for 42 years since indep.
Where do you expect these to go to make a living?
Of these, how many will be able to survive comfortably in singapore as the cost continue to escalate?
Singapore , is there a place and chance for them to survive?
Just imgine more and more residents become get convicted as time passes by.
Sinapore is so tiny and market as porportionally tiny. FTs coming in every day.
2 million shortage.
When even a normal person finds it hard to handle the rising cost and scared to think about retirement, and cannot be sure how they will eventually retire,
how do you think these ex-offenders will be able to survive in future singapore? due to aging population, I foresee more convicted ones will get stuck in singapore. How will they survive? Study? they have records. Like it or not, it will affect them finding work and living in a society such as singapore.
Heard in a coffeeshop?
Please find the facts and post it. Otherwise, it makes for a meaningless discussion.
