I did offer him to contact my friend who is an English teacher in a primary school to help him start from the basics again, but he does not dare accept it.

then who looks after his family? in order to pursue his ideology, he puts his family's interests on the line of fire. to him, his family is worth less than S$4K.

To Chee, breaking an unjust law and going the jail for it, is a way of bringing attention to the said unjust law. He could have migrated and lead a good life, get a job befitting his PhD. He chose to stay and fight, I don't agree with all of his methods, but his resilience is rather commendable. -
