Unfortunately, sometimes it is hard to catch everything, and this was shown with regard to the S.Korean Professor who fabricated data etc.
It doesn't help when some publications, particularly those that cater to the layman, sensationalise results when they haven't undergone vigorous review or anything.

It a commercial driven world, what can you expect from academic research that does not have financial goals and objectives. More so in the bio industry -
Admittedly, sometimes the regime can prove inflexible to many new ideas. So I think the result of a resarch by a person or a single group can't be taken as absolute scientific truth. Even with a few groups, there is still a the possibility of the research results being incorrect. Let's see the definition of Science

"Science (from the Latin scientia, 'knowledge'), in the broadest sense, refers to any systematic knowledge or practice. In a more restricted sense, science refers to a system of acquiring knowledge based on the scientific method, as well as to the organized body of knowledge gained through such research"
As such, this definition of Science means that its more a human practice of acquiring knowledge, and is more subject to the human discovery.
So perhaps you might want to explain what you mean by "Science has always being present before the advent of Man". Or perhaps, you might want to discuss what is your definition of Science. -

Imagine what goes on in the minds of CEO of a typical drug/pharmaceutical company or ho$pital today. Science has become the slave of today's cooperate greed and commercialisation.

I appreciate what Science has done, and I believe Science is the way to advance mankind (for now).
But, to believe that only what can be proven by Science is the truth, is never something which I can subscribe to.
Scientific discoveries are made by Man, and since there is no other way to advance Science other than by Man, then Science is never the absolute truth, since Man can err -

That's all I will believe in. And I am also open to the possibility that Science can be wrong, and like all new products, new discoveries in Science requires many years before the discovery is considered mature and established.
So yes, maybe those Science discoveries we learnt in school (Primary to JC) may be considered more established.
What about you? Are you going to be like the Church when they isolate Galileo because he could not prove at that time his theory that the Earth revolves around the Sun, and not vice versa? -
