The France President.This was just PRC did during and after
Culture Revolution.They made their former comadrades- turned-
enemy disappear from the photo.
Remember western journalists set a very high standard in reporting.
I remember many years ago,a photographer was reprimanded for
asking a kid to wear a hat before taking photo.
1.Paris Match admitted they did modify the lighting in the photo!!
Magazine retouches Sarkozy photo...Leading news weekly L'Express printed before and after shots, showing a distinct tightening of the area it called poignees d'amour (love handles).
L'Express quotes Paris Match as saying the president's seating position made the bulge look more prominent.
Paris Match said it had tried adjusting the lighting on the picture.

2.The photo of Spore PM on the National Day
This was the worst photo I have seen of PM. -
No matter which side is seen of PM LHL when he face the camera, is there anything complimentary features to be admired ?
Looking at his lineage, it would have been better if some attention was given by his predecessor - to the beauty aspects of the genetic DNA development, instead of the heavy bias consideration given entirely to grey matters only.
If you are talking about touch-up, the Singapore version is edit out in its entirety anything that is totally uncomplimentary to the visual projection of anyone in the Government. -
what about the PM's husband? it'll take plastic surgery, a team of expert photoshop artists and probably some sorcery to make him look remotely better

I think there is a difference between controlling the media politically and someone because of vainity decides to tell the press to do some editing to make him look better.
If you don't know, most of the advertisement pictures put to press are also edited, sometimes to smooth out the blemishes on the face of models for that branded cosmetics -

What I don't agree is that democracy started not in france but in greece. Its a moot point for the TS to start a thread like this. So I am making a moot point about his post. -

i dunt mind the press cover the ugly face or whatever,
What i worry is press to cover the defects of domestic or international
issues.
u huys must say ST etc already cover the many short
comings or defects of PAP etc
