The puppet masters have no qualms using the pricing mechanism to suppress the youths because their own children are not affected since the have access to public funds and they have no qualms taking millions more on top of the millions that they already take annually. -

Their parents used to spend ten/twenty years (like in most other countries) working in a decent job to get a private property right here in Singapore but you-know-who has pushed/allowed property prices to sky-rocket so that the youths now cannot do what their parents could do in Singapore.
Singapore is only 42 years old, which generation of parents are you talking about ? Suppose if singaporeans should all deserve to own freehold private property and land, then where to you expect Singapore youth of today to be staying? floating in mid air?
They have to study so hard because the education system is not catered to teach them to think but to force them to keep as much information in their heads as possible (whatever for, when now you have google).
I thought most parents will be telling their spoilt brat that in the olden days, they cant even afford to have basic education.
The are not taught to think because in a politically suppressed country and the "leaders" want to do what they like, for the people to have the ability to think, it is not good for the "leaders". The want sheep that follow and obey, not youths that can think skilfully.

As a result the youths do not learn good thinking skills and do not spend the years in school, developing good thinking skills.
I would blame the youth for spending too much money and time on computer and games and thatÂ’s why all they are capable for doing is to become computer and internet heroes.
Youths all over the world are idealistic and pursue their dreams but in Singapore, they have to worry about their bread and butter three meals a day concerns because everything has been priced so that they have no time to be idealistic and to chase their dreams.
Singapore youth are a bunch of spoilt bred or domestic kitten that are unable to hunt for food in the wild, and thatÂ’s why they are always expecting to be feed with a silver spoon
Youths all over the world work hard so that they can travel and save up for a good life (or save up so that they have money to pursue their dreams) but in Singapore, they have barely enough to pay for the necessities in life because the necessities in life like housing, transport and medical are priced so high they have no choice but to work hard for necessities in life into their (now they are planning for Singaporeans to work into their eighties) old age.
Singapore youth are only capable of working behind their computer and providing lip services to the community. Unfortunately Singapore donÂ’t pay for such hard work.
In order to do that, make the youths work into their eighties, they make sure that prices go up more and more but salaries lag behind (using foreign talents to lower the wages).
Singapore youth of today will die of hunger before their reach 60s because without their parents, they are nothing.

Below is my interpretation of the public housing in singapore.
a) Stage 1 :HDB flats are public from brand new to resale ie people would buy with HDB loans and HDB reposession is very seldom even when the people default on payments. After speaking to some lawyers, i understood that HDB repossessions occurred so far were only on the occupiers doing criminal things.
b) Stage 2: Resale market. HDB flats at resale market is priced based on demand and supply, willing buyers and sellers. At this point, buyers might choose to take commercial bank loans and let their HDB flats be mortgaged to commercial banks. Based on posts above, it is possible for the private sector to seize HDB flats if there is a default on payments.
c) Stage 3: Old HDB flats are enbloced by HDB at market price and occupiers have a good discount to purchase new HDB flats directly from HDB.
The cycle goes round.
HDB flat prices are exposed to capitalism, both new and resale.
Question is : How expensive is a 4 room HDB flat directly from HDB and resale today ?
Question is: How many years would an average married Singaporean graduate couple take to fully pay up their 4 room HDB flat? How many children can they raise?
Question is : What type of quality is HDB flat? As I know it, a new HDB flat is almost condo like quality nowadays.

Since (in my opinion) no true democracy exists because majority of us continue our dog eat dog world mentality, I came to conclusion that I must learn how to protect my backside and to thrive in watever situation spore is in.
Yes, I am selfish because if I am not, I cant even protect my own family. So what is so useful about discussion when words alone can bring us no where and the things spoke here cant even help me to be in a better environment.
Words are cheap, the moment a new govt were to succeed , they will too implement policies that are to their favor.

Where did youth learn to use their brains, only in schools? their parents never taught them how to think? If you had passed your youth and you are blaming the schools you attended for not teaching you to think skillfully, I would fully agree that your schools did a lousy job.
Are our youths “marginalized and stepped on and nobody can say anything”, like “like Jayakumar threatening people like Silvia Lim even in parliament”? Silvia never thought she was threatened, it was just part and parcel of the daily game they play in politics. Youths should expect more of this in the real world, call it threat or challenge, depends on how matured you are and how you take them.
Yes, youths are idealistic and have dreams, by definition they are young, vigorous and lively, or immature and impetuous etc, they are in between childhood and maturity. Their future is an empty page, it is up to them to write or draw. They have to find their driving force and motivation, they have to plan what to do and what they dont (not everybody has everything), they have to realize how much risk they can take before they decide on one step at a time or taking a big leap. DonÂ’t expect anybody to guarantee a beautiful rosy picture. If the picture ended up a messy pc of S H I T, donÂ’t blame anybody either.
Youths in Singapore can pursue academic excellence, or you may want to stay at home and ask your parents to teach you how to think, your choice. They are exposed to multi racial multi religious and cosmopolitan society. They have access to news and info on most part of the world if they donÂ’t like or donÂ’t trust the local TV or newspapers. Here they have the opportunity to learn English and Mandarin, the two most spoken, used languages in the world. What they do with what they have is the question.
It is too early to say what they should do, who are you to say what they should achieve in life? Why should they be doing what their parents did, labored their whole life to buy a condo? WhatÂ’s wrong if they choose to stay with their parents? WhatÂ’s wrong if they are contented with HDB flats instead of a condo?
You can aim high to achieve high, but if you don't know how to appreciate what you already have, you have no respect for those who provide for you. No matter how much you achieve, if you don't know how to be contented with the things you have, you will never be happy.

If you tell me that there are no consequences to pricing public housing built on public land at that level especially to the youths of the nation, that is simply delusional.
Obviously when the youths are forced to be robots for the industries by social engineering using the price mechanism as a main tool, their dreams must degrade in favour of the dreams of those manipulating them.
The puppet masters have no qualms using the pricing mechanism to suppress the youths because their own children are not affected since the have access to public funds and they have no qualms taking millions more on top of the millions that they already take annually.
This is the language I like.
Unlike that of the Govt bashing/PAP bashing Sillyporeans, who generally entice me to return their crap to them.
