They refused to acknowledged their service failure. Even mentioned something about we sabotage .. I told them I can picture and they say it is subject to abuse .. anyway, they just cannot be bother when I called them .. don't ask me to see the MP. Actually if you look at the whole situation. Most of the time, there is not enough bicycle park at HDB void deck. Now with the influx of Chinese, there seem to be more bicycles around, so where can the resident parked? The threat of wanting to remove the bike to rubbish dump is indeed very highhanded.SMRT does it in a way similar to the suggestin proposed by Oxford Mushroom. -

Some cyclists park their bike in a lobby next to a staricase.There are some notice boards and a post box in the lobby.Last time,I saw there was a notice which requests cyclists not to park in the lobby and park their bike in bike stand.Recently,that notice has disappeared.If it was intentionally taken down,the management of the community library should be commended for being flexible.There are usually a few or several bikes park there and they don't create any problem -- sightly untidy look perhaps.

Bring the bike into your house, or construct more bike stands in the void decks.

There was once my wife spotted a Chinese man with screw-driver and some tools at the bicycle stands working on some bicycles. My wife approached him and ask him if he was trying to steal the bicycles. He claims to be repairing the damage bicycle for free and say my wife is ungreatful that he was helping out. In a MRT station,the management put up no bicycle parking sign soon after I parked my bike besides a wall of a verandah where human traffic is sparse.Then I parked in another wall,another no bicyle sign put up.Quite efficient but rather negative in attitude.Actually down there can park a single file of bicycles without causing any problem to pedestrains.

Firstly, i am strictly law-abiding, mostly because i don't intend to contribute more than my tax dollars to the gahmen. Secondly, i am a strong supporter of action, rather than signage posting and warnings. Drivers need to be given a taste of things to come, else indiscriminate parking will simply spill over and cause even more problems.
In fact, i prefer illegally-parked cars to be TOWED AWAY and a collection fee amounting to a fine be introduced.
People only respond when punitive action has been taken to discourage others, else the slimeball 'he did it, so can i' mentality will be allowed to proliferate. -
towing cars away is one thing. threatening to throw you bike into the rubbish dump is illegal. u can pay a fee and claim back your car. who will make sure ur bike will still be at the rubbish dump?

Of course there are cylcist dare not park there.So they park right across the walls.The staff haven't put up no bike notice there yet! -

I believe they should put up a notice that only one single file of bicycles can be parked there and action will be taken for parking disorderly. -

For shopkeepers who display their good in public corridors,town council staff are not high-handed.If fact,their attitude is too lax.They should be more firm.

somehow, they are more tolerance to shop keeper. Isn't that always true? Everyone is wrong about something. If we see wrong, we either speak up and are hypocrites or we stay silent and allow the wrong.
