Well done. Apparently, corruption isn't a threat to national security, but investigating it is.Originally posted by blackhat007:Taken from one article but i make it short with the main points here--->

And anyone who wants to investigate politicians or their family members have to first apply for approval from a government licensing officer.
Those who don't, face a fine of up to $50,000, which has been jacked up from the current $10,000 maximum, or a two-year jail term, or both.
The move aims to ensure PIs do not gather information or conduct surveillance which may threaten public interest or national security, Minister for Home Affairs Wong Kan Seng explained.

I think this thunder move from the Thunder party really got to prove something here, they are afraid that if one day some hardcore opposition power might use the PI to spy on their MP and expose to the world of their dirty doing, which will make threaten their power to rule Singapore.
Singaporean's really have to wake up liao.Or else we will forever won't be waking up that day really come.
maybe there isn't any p4p supporter out there at all???Originally posted by maurizio13:How come the P4P supporters never voice their views on this?
Goes to show the P4P supporters will only praise the government, whether the policies are good or bad, they only know how to kiss a$$.![]()

It is obvious they are abusing their power to come out with the above. Well, it is more of threatening their own selfish interest and security rather than public interest or national security. Abuse of authority to protect their self interest. Vote them out. We can no longer tolerate such nonsense from these tyrants who care for themselves.[/b]

politician includes opposition.
If you notice, ever since LHL took over as PM, there have been more and more of nuisance and abuse of authority or power. This is very well reflective of what sort of person this scumbag is and thus we all suffer under his oppressive rule. He gains zero or below zero respect from the people of Singapore.Originally posted by Young@heart:If it had not been obvious previously when they change the penal code of maximun 20 years jail punishment for striking or hitting politicians, indeed this latest amendment did show up their own selfish interest.
May not be obvious previously to many (talking about the 66.6%), but i hope this latest absurd (craps reasoning) amendment will finally open up the eyes and minds of the 66.6%, there is and have always been a strong argument (by the other 33.4%)about whether these politicians from the ruling party are indeed men/women of high moral standard and integrity?
There you (66.6%) have it, for their own selfish interest, they are prepared to use their authority to ensure their million dollars salary are safe at the expense of us (inclusive of both 66.6% & 33.4%), the common men on the street.
Abuse of Authority? We just seen only the tip of the iceberg, be prepared for more nonsense and abuse of authority in the name of public or national interest/security by the MIW in parliament in the future.
Exactly!!! Do no evil, no harm will come your way.Originally posted by qlqq9:If you notice, ever since LHL took over as PM, there have been more and more of nuisance and abuse of authority or power. If these politicians and family members are not doing anything illegal or up to any nuisance, why do they need to be so concern to resort to impose fine!?

In Chinese, we say "jian bu de kuang". They will do anything to protect themselves, may be one day they will come out with a stupid law which says, we let you have the chance to vote, but you must vote for one party called PAP only, failing which you will be penalised.Originally posted by Young@heart:Exactly!!! If a politician has done good and for the interest of the people, nobody will want or dare to lay a hand on him/her.
Even if being attacked, there will be many citizens around to help him/her out without waiting for police to appear.
Furthermore, our MIW always like to say they have the majority support in Singapore, then I presumed there will always be at least 2 citizens (66.6%) around to help them out as against 1 attacker (33.4%).
Then why need to change this rule that law in order to protect politicians more?
Btw, did you read about the reason being given for not issuing a permit to the recent opp organise bicycle event?
As if, P$P events have no such concerns.
Another stupid reasoning given by our Million$ Super Talented MIW.![]()
