since you are so honorable, i wonder you care enough to support the yellow ribbon day today?Originally posted by qlqq9:In general, Singaporeans are extremely inner looking, they only care that their needs are taken care of and whatever the gahmen is doing is secondary. They will behave in the way not to offend the gahmen, their boss. I look down on such mentality.
Too bad, your wish is not my command.Originally posted by Daddy!!:since you are so honorable, i wonder you care enough to support the yellow ribbon day today?
Oh, you going round telling people what to do and so on, are you here to stir up trouble?Originally posted by Daddy!!:Andrew Yap,
since you care so much for Singaporeans, why din you turn up to support the yellow ribbon fair at Changi Prison?
Instead you spend your whole day at home typing away with your computer.
Useless fellow.
Below are evidence of the times of your posts.

That is why Singaporeans need to work so hard with nothing to show for it because people have stupid ideas in their heads that the government should be treated/considered to be their "bosses" instead of their servants.

When people are too frightened, that is what happens... without them knowing it...
======================================================
This was what i wrote of you for you to understand yourself. See how true it is especially you praying your computer.
"A staunch Christian reads a lot of the bible and he becomes rather convinced that God is there and he starts to fear God. Everyday, every night he prays. So much so that he starts to think the rest of the world should also fear God and he starts to preach the word of God.
You are very much the same. You allowed a dictator to enter your mind then you start to read a lot about it and you become very convinced that the dictator is real and you start to fear. Everyday and night, you start to pray in front of a computer with links to internet web sites. So much so that you start to think the rest of the world should also fear the dictator and you start to preach the word of "fear the dictator". "

You want hard evidence?Originally posted by watchdog:I presume this andrew yap has evidence of the Lee family apportioning away public funds into their own accounts? If not, everything he claims can be disputed as factually wrong & clearly technically unproven. The problem with such accusations is that they are grave to the point that if any political opposition ever takes this line of argument without harc evidence they'll be ridiculed for generating the same garbage that the PAP opponents have been facing these last 20 years.
After we see how in the NKF TT Durai case, two people can lose defamation suits against him and yet they were proven right in the end, now we know how to consider "the same garbage that the PAP opponents have been facing these last 20 years."Originally posted by watchdog:the same garbage that the PAP opponents have been facing these last 20 years. erm, u seem to be spelling this word wrongly on many occasions....maybe u would like to use a simpler word if u can't spell it.Originally posted by Gazelle:nah...I have never taken big talkers like you seriously, not to mention your weak and pathatic argument in trying to make us believe that LKY is stealing public money.
If he is like what you said, then I am sure he is doing a damn bloody lousy job because he should have paid himself $100m a years and retire with his families in the Bahamas instead of wasting his precious time building this country and making his son a PM.
when u realise that ur votes are sliding, u need support & so u create GRCOriginally posted by maven2:Gazelle. I totally agree with you. You cannot beat people's power. But you can put laws in place to prevent people from being able to have power for a long long time.
You can start with:
1. Creating a system that does not give them equal opportunity to get a rally space.
2. You can give them less TV airtime.
3. Less AND/OR biased press coverage.
4. Threaten them into submission.
5. Don't let them assemble for peaceful demonstrations.
6. Sue the only potential candidates -> Get rid of them and Scare others.
7. Make them put a 10k bond to run for elections.
8. Dig up the dirt on their past mistakes and make them bogeymen.
9. Create a system where you must have as many opposition members as the current government to contest in GRCs. And then when they meet that number, increase the number of candidates.
10. Keep redrawing the GRC boundaries where you know they have a weaker base to become bigger. And then require that they match the large number of candidates to go against them.
11. Blackmail them into not getting lift upgrading if they don't vote you.
12. With all the above and with other perks and bonuses you can make them into sheep. Threaten them with sure failure. It's psychological warfare.
It's actually quite easy to prevent the people from having power.
The only way then to wrest control would to take the government by a coup or force. But that would result in unnecessary bloodshed and would set the country backwards. Which none of us want. Not even the opposition.
We love Singapore too much to do that.
spell check is already a free service in this forum, why should the admin bother?Originally posted by de_middle:erm, u seem to be spelling this word wrongly on many occasions....maybe u would like to use a simpler word if u can't spell it.
or u can check with admin on whether they can actually install a spell checker exclusively for ur private use![]()
