The Singapore dictator must be thinking to himself, yeah, right, unlike you, me and my family have up to $10 million a year of public money to lose if Singapore embraces full democracy for the good of the people.
I wonder how the dictators feel, to be among leaders of the world knowing that these leaders are at the APEC ministerial forum because they won elections honorably in their own country, while they themselves won elections by dishonorable means, suppressing of freedoms to win, as exposed by Dr Chee, martyr. -
I say so what? Are you seeing green seeing other people earning more and faster than you? Soon you will something to say for Ong Beng Seng, Kwek Leng Beng, Oei Hong Leong, and so on. Salary high or low, if u r dammed greedy, corruption would still occur. $600000 to them is peanut. No matter how much salary you get, you will never satisfied.

I heard from a Jap expat who work in high post here. Claiming the gov here suxks, care for themselves only,so full of themselves. They're high salary is open cporruption.He told me, He wouldn't want to become a Singapore citizen. His aim in here is to dig as much money as possible and F off.. -

One of them honorably resigned because he made an inappropriate joke. The whole Japanese government would have honorably resigned rather than take this kind of obscene amount of public money.
A lack of shame and honor, that is what is lacking in the Singapore cabinet. -
Er...dear all, we are speaking about politics for the masses and not blasting individuals. Please refocus on the masses....I do hope 'smart' oppositions don't target individuals. We are all here for the general good here right.
I also believe, if you want to start a thread on a problem, at least you have or are trying to encourage others to throw in ideas for a resolution. If the purpose is just to blast, that's called negative propaganda.....with which you are discouraging in the first place as I understand....
So APKY maybe you will like to let us know exactly why this thread has been started, and what basis you or from others you have heard from, based on? Then maybe we can brainstorm and see if we can make Singapore a better country.
