Problem is that a person with 'Big Balls' tends to think with it too often.
I very much prefer an Opps who can Work SMART and win seats from PAP. Not one who think all the time of becoming a martyr.

How to make CSJ irrelevant? By turning Singapore into a truely democractic country!
Democractic leaders will not bankrupt his opponents and put them to jail.
They challenge them head on in a just and fair manner!
No employer will be afraid to hire him. CSJ will get a job. In turn, his family will be well taken care of. -

I respect his tenacity and courage but sometimes, in order to survive in the political arena, one has to play within the proponent's rules and think about putting food on a Singaporean's table.
Can't gain much support when one is barking up the wrong tree or transmitting a different frequency all the time.
Nevertheless, I believe he will be remembered as a political martyr by future generations. -

I feel that Chee wants this for Singapore, however, perhaps his methods require tweaking for the layman to understand his motivation. -

As a human being.
Hitler and Stalin sent their opponents to labour camps. While here, people like CSJ are made bankrupt and sent to prison. They could stretch the line a little further.
But, they dare not. For fear of losing power.
When a person is in power, there is no knowing what they will do next to you.

she won a election fairly and was jailed against it... she took all hardships on her chin and showed by resolve by not quitting in the face of pressure...
In contrast CSJ's actions, if he's trying to achieve the same aims, is just low-class .... shouting at the GCT in public... i think that's quite thuggish behaviour...

I am sure there are a lot of Singaporeans who dismiss him as a "siao lang" (hokkien for mad person).
Pragmatism rules this country and Chee's style is certainly that of a different era. Perhaps such characters are more suited to turbulent times.
Nevertheless, he deserves respect for that steely display of tenacity. He has certainly earned mine. -

Singaporeans in general, do not appreciate people who champion democracy because we were never taught to think like this.
He may not have the fame of a Ghandi, Aung San or Martin Luther King but he is a winner in his own right. He will go down in future history as a political martyr for sure. -
