I take it as a "Joke Of The Week" .
I believe majority of the Malaysia Malays also quite disapprove of his talking , i think , logically , Mahatir never represent All Malays .
Be fair to other Malays . -
Mahatir said we had the intention of bringing up to 10 millions of popuation increase , mainly from Mainland China , i think he got the datas wrong , we need just 5 million , not 10 !
Not all from Mainland China , Indians , Indonesians , Philipines , Malaysians etc ....
where did he get those stats ? -

Mahathir is never interested or contented with just pissing singaporean off, he wanted a Malaysia that is stronger than Singapore, he wanted the Malaysian Malays to have control over the other races, he cried when he didn't see that happen. He gave ALL Malays in Malaysia a dream, and he did succeed in many different ways. But, within the dream that he painted, he added the racist element, the anti Singapore element, what make you believe that the majority of the Malaysian Malays know how to take out the nuts and fruits from a piece of fruit cake before eating the cake? Surely Mahathir does not represent each and every Malay in Malaysia, especially the oppositions, like Anwar, but he did run the country for the last how many years, it is only logical to say that he does represent the majority of the Malays there. Besides, why no rebukes against what he said so far? He has no more power, but nobody dare to say that he was wrong?
Read what they say carefully, understand their mindset and motivation correctly, and treat them accordingly, that is being fair to them. -

PSA sent officers to Port Klang in the 1970s to help develop that port.
PSA helped them get started, then "Malaysia Boleh" came in and they took over themselves. Now it is in the mess they themselves created. -
Mahathir wants to be remembered in history as a champion of the malays like a modern day Hang Tuah he doesnt care if people thought of him as an ethnocentric bastard.To him even if China is gone there would still be chinese people in every country around the world but if Malaysia is taken over by other races then where are the malays going to live? His biggest regret would be watching SIngapore grow bigger than Malaysia under his watch.

The Malays in Malaysia are not aboriginals, they came to Malaysia from Indonesia earlier than Chinese and Indians, the real aboriginals still stay in jungles though some have improved living and stay in kampong and towns, their languages are totally different,Originally posted by Spartans:Ya quite true. isn't that his failure, MY n SG start up as equal footing. In the early 80 our exchange rates was a mere different of 5 cents. he spend alot on bumi policy to perch up the bumi by the time the region reaches 97 financial crisis he draw the wide divide. This is down right discrimination on racial lines.
Tun Mahathir himself said that there are no pure Malay in Malaysia. With regards to who is a Malay, he said that anyone who live the Malay lifestyle, speaks Malay, and is a Muslim, is a Malay.
So only Indian, Arab, Pakistani, whatever, even African, can be a Malay, except Chinese Muslim. Great country this Malaysia.
