Well aren't well all used to unfair treatment where ever we go.....therte is corruption, nepotism and unfair treatment in every country...and supposedly clean Sillypore is no exception.....wake up everyoneOriginally posted by Jontst78:YPAP night cycling event was removed from its website. The event supposedly took place on 28 July. To hide unfair treatment? Or cycling at night has less probability of someone stopping you for a debate?

He said that police required political events to be held indoors or in stadiums where problems could be contained, adding that the WP could consider these venues. The policy applied to all political parties, he said.
Yeah right.... looks like YPAP has a whole list of outdoor events going on....

Another NKF that is all. Ministers will keep saying that their laws are all very good with no one questioning so cycle event is illegal assembly but none of the elected MPs were able to speak otherwise.Originally posted by Jontst78:YPAP night cycling event was removed from its website. I guess there is no such thing as equality in Singapore.Originally posted by Poh Ah Pak:Poor Worker's Party.
Cycling outdoors cannot get permit, PAP can.
Gazelle supports P4P with thinking.
Goes to show that these pro P4P supporters BLINDLY SUPPORT the P4P policies without much thinking.
Those are already known facts amongst the forumers here.Originally posted by Poh Ah Pak:Gazelle supports P4P with thinking.
He does not follow P4P's pro-USA policy.
He is not a blind running dog of P4P.
I do not know whether it is appropriate to take sides..be a "supporter"So you didn't vote?
some pigs are just more equal than others.. Rolling EyesThis type of stupid bias takes place because there is not enough opposition members in parliament to counter the PAP hegemon.
Yes.Originally posted by kramnave:If i don't like certain things about PAP and the present government, it doesn't mean i should like the opposition better. Similarly if i like the opposition, it doesn't mean i'm anti-pap. I do not know whether it is appropriate to take sides..be a "supporter". I'd rather support Singapore. Even if there are some things i don't like now, doesn't mean i wish to see Chiam, Chee or Low take over...i think that is too superficial.
1st you need more impressive candidates joining the opposition parties. Not easy. People won't want to get sued by PAP.

Yes.
If you are pro Singapore; then what is your take on this issue?
Do you think such policies bring about the betterment of Singaporean lives?
Why don't you want to see other opposition parties take over?
Is it because they have been portrayed badly in the government controlled media?
The current state of opposition politicians is the result of the P4P tactics. If you decide to let them persist in their atrocities, then sad to say, there won't be good opposition politicians around to speak up for you.
Not many abled are willing to join the opposition and risk being sued.
In any system, a [b]BALANCE OF POWER will result in the betterment of those under it.
In monopoly (in the past, where only 1 business exist, such as Singapore Telecoms {now SingTel}), it was the only provider of telecommunication services, therefore prices were extremely high, as more competitors enter the market, prices fall, benefitting the consumers. But then our telecoms industry is still not truly perfect competition, because a majority of the shares are still held by Temasek Holdings. But I guess you get the idea.

But there is truth in it.
Don't ever blame the media or propaganda for the opposition's shortfall, that has been a very lame and convenient excuse i have heard many many times from many people.
There is truth in the media being tightly regulated and to a degree "controlled" i guess but that doesn't mean people who agree with the government are blind followers or affected by propaganda through the state-controlled media...i hope you see my point. The papers can only say so much...some actions by Chee Soon Juan for example, no matter what the papers say, positive or negative, cannot be justified in my opinion.Originally posted by Poh Ah Pak:But there is truth in it.
I just have a sec 4 IQ suggestion :Originally posted by kramnave:1st you need more impressive candidates joining the opposition parties. Its no use just to understand what Singaporeans want. I also know what we want. The question is how to go about doing it. Will impressive candidates take the plunge ?
problem is you have to be a minister before u get top salariesOriginally posted by reddressman:I just have a sec 4 IQ suggestion :
1. Allow parties to have more money to hire top talents with top salaries.
With money, talents are said to be willing to serve.
Money talks.
Of course but there's no denial that the media often attempts to paint the opposition in bad light.Originally posted by kramnave:Don't ever blame the media or propaganda for the opposition's shortfall, that has been a very lame and convenient excuse i have heard many many times from many people.
