Think he was referring to a military coup rather an opposition party winning a state etc. If somebody says something that you disagree with, just make your point. I think its quite tasteless to use terms like "stupid", "stupid thoughts" etc.

i'll just say that not believing everything that comes from the mouth of the propaganda-machine is also tantamount to being manipulated by the propaganda-machine..
all they have to do is to send out a rumour of the contrary and we have people who are knee-jerk exponents denouncing it and playing into the hands of the powers
and.. it happens..

From my experience, people choose to believe in propaganda out of their own free will, just so to assuage their doubts, their fantasies, and their pride.
Human nature really. Ultimately, many people don't know how to think with their head, instead of their heart.
The worse part, is that people willingly believe a pack of lies knowing that they are lies. Either they are simply not being honest with themselves, or they think things in black and white. -
