What happens when Singapore reaches 6.5 mil population?

If GST was not raised
If housing prices/taxes of profits from property sales were not raised
If CPF withdrawal age was not raised
If Annuity was not to be made compulsory
most people will want bigger and bigger houses
Solution? Increase taxes by so much such that you will never be able to earn enough to buy a big house. You will thus have to settle for a smaller house, which will in turn help Singapore achieve the necessary space for 6.5 million population
If ERP was not raised
If COE was not introduced
there will be too many vehicles on our roads. How then will our roads be able to accodomate 6.5 million of population?
Solution? Tax road users even more such that they can barely afford a car. Restrict COE further to restrict the number of cars (COE price will then be even higher)

When 6.5m of population is acheived by the profit minded, i believe you will have more curse when ever you step out of your house. You will curse them while you are on train, you will curse them while you are driving, you will curse them when you queueing up, you will curse them when price is going up, you will curse them when you see more less civilised people in public, you will curse when you have to serve ns, you will curse the ministers when you see them on tv and more to go. Isn't this not happening now and more to curse into the future?

The trains are overcrowded these days compared to the 90s. During peak hour, one may need to wait for the second or third trains before being able to squeeze into the trains. haiz sad life... but what to do?
Government set the 6.5millions target with economy($$$) in mind. Hence ordinary Singaporeans need to sacrifice their living standards for the government to achieve her target.
Anyway do u think public traffic congestion, smaller houses, lack of privacy due to HDB being bulit too close together, ... will affect the ministers? So do u think they will care about our whining and complaints? -

What happens when Singapore reaches 6.5 mil population? Seriously, as Cantonese says "no eyes to see". Gahmen has to start planning now for more infrastructure to accommodate the number of people.
