An encounter with Opposition Leader

Any1 have the book as shown above ???
I bought this book for $10 in centrepoint a few years ago.
I remember I spotted J.B Jeyaratnam with his helper trying to get attention from the after office hour crowd to buy his book. As the word "trying" has suggested, I felt that JBJ should not have this type of fate lah... So, I approached him.
I : "Errrr... can I have one of those? How much is one of those?"
JBJ : "10 dollars"
omg... at tat time, I was
. I always have the image tat JBJ is a fighter who speaks aggressively and fight against the strongest man in Singapore. But from his reply, it sound so soft and weak... Just like a reply from my grandfather... I hand him my $10...
JBJ : " Do u need me to sign?"
My head was in the blank... huh??? I never thought of u signing my book leh... hahaha... I do not noe how to answer at that time... So, I just replied "No need"
Although it is a short encounter, but indeed it induced many feelings in me.
1) He sounds very feeble
2) But yet, he has the strength and drive to get his message across
3) When he is selling his book, u can feel the salesman's humble. -
but u cannot expect him to come aggressively at you mah
Being humble to the masses is what someone who wants to serve the people should do. And not regard the majority as people who has a lower brain capacity, and thus "top-talent" should be employed. -
I have shaken hands with Slyvia before.
Though it was just a brief handshake to wish her good luck, it was a memorable one.
She just oozes so much charisma, maybe sex appeal too
. Her charisma and intelligence, together with Low's wits and eloquence, are the right ingredients to bring WP forward.
If only she was given more airtime on television, Singaporeans would then see that so many PAP MPs pale in comparison. -
