When it comes to serious political analysis or debate, Singapore's mainstream media is worthless.

During non-election periods, the Singapore mainstream media does not cover activities of the opposition parties.
The opposition thus cannot get their message across to the majority of Singaporeans while the PAP, being the ruling party can.
Since opposition propaganda is not widely circulated, people will have a poor understanding of the policies pushed by the opposition parties. -

I think Singaporeans deserve a more vibrant and intelligent mainstream media, rather than a retarded and stunted propagandistic media.
The PAP ruling clique says that it is not easy to find people to join politics.
With such a retarded mainstream media that is so lacking in debate on political issues, it is not hard to see why many have no interest in politics.
Those who have interest in politics know about the true nature of the PAP regime and many will not support the PAP clique. -

Bah. Singapore newspapers are crap. Even the International section has an agenda behind it. They filter out some of the news as well.
Talk about controlling the flow of information.
