Think about it this way. The current issue at hand is the upcoming gulf war.
One hand, are the forces of "freedom & democracy," lead by a nation who is keen on peace and stability to enhance its economic security, and prosperity.
On the other hand you have a dictator, who has in hand, weapons of mass destruction, and has used them in the past for totally unmeaningful purpose. And has been responsible for at least 2 wars in the region.
This conflict is an unfair one. Yes. Because its the Free World Vs Saddam. It is not a war between two nations. But a war against one man, who can be a global security threat in the times ahead. -

i think the most important thing when thinking about this issue is to take into account the ambiguity involved.
its not a simple fight between good and bad, right and wrong.
both sides are not fantastically decent people and the methods used are quite frankly, violent and offensive in nature.
welcome to the real world. u become the enemy u fight.
i'm not pro-US or pro-Osama... i believe them both to be crooks. but i also believe that i live in an imperfect world and i'ld rather share it with crooks who'ld leave me alone than crooks who want to destroy my way of life.
at least the americans leave u alone if u don't cross them. terrorists will hit u where u least expect it. -
