  Frankly the river was build to control the water level in the 2 reservoir ... It have to be build whether it is expensive or like it or not, as it help to save a lot of water.
  
  So adding some fund to build it into recreation will add more value and improve its usage.

  5.5km river....thats the length right...? but what is the width..? how wide is it from side to side...
  
  Coz I think a narrow river is not so nice after all........not much difference....and not really 'waterfront living'.......the feeling is different with open sea, real sea that u can see far away and see the horizon....

  if i'm not wrong the restored one is not even a real river innit? its made up of reflective stuff that looks like water from afar
