  This river was rebuilt for a symbolism purposes and to purify the environment, which used to be very polluted. This new river for Punggol is to control water level between the 2 reverviors.

  very soon, somebody will introduce river taxi service..
  
  and 5 years later, someone will say the rivers are getting congested and intro ERP for the rivers...
