I mean depends how u look at it. At least u can sleep soundly in your house knowingly that cops just dont come busting into ur house without warrants and stuff. When they surround a person's house that has possible firearms , they actually surround your house , call the Arms Offenders squad and they ring ur house and ask whether u have a gun or not. If u have , they will go in via SOP if u have a gun.. the hard approach. If not , then u come out for them to arrest you. Or they just surround ur house until they get permission and paperwork done to storm your house or u be a good boy come out and let them arrest you. -
If the NZ police is ''slack'', taking so long to find the body, then Singapore Police must be worst when the bodies in a car were found only after the rotting smell led to the discovery of the bodies.
With the discovery not made by the Police, but through chance encounter by some Singaporeans happen to be in the vicinity for their weekend exercise.
This refers to the Orchard Tower murder case, where the Singapore Government had to bend our ''sovereignty'' to accept Australian Government demand not to impose the Death Penalty in order to gain the extradition of the suspect to the double murders. -
probably the police have more crimes to handle, it's not like it's been quiet for the past few months until this incident happened. It's plausible that there were bigger cases than this...

just look at Michael Faye case.No country,big or small,dared to
confront with US President just for this small case,
in the eyes of other countries.
I think,even in other western countries,a private letter from US Secretary
of State of US Vice President is more then enough
to let the US citizen let go..But in SG....he is so unlucky
committing offense in SG. -

1. If you want to gleefully lap up the opportunity to take a pot shot at the standards of others, and blow Singapore's trumpet, at least be sure that your own back door is well guarded by at least one good bolt - if you find a dog too expensive to maintain.

The sovereign laws of Singapore require all murderers to be sentence to death.
Two lives were taken by the hands of McCrea, and the Singapore Law requiring a death sentence was bent to accomodate McCrea's return to face judicial punishment WITHOUT death being imposed.
If that is not bending, which make of convex glass are you using to correct your concave view of events ?

I agree that the New Zealand police is not perfect, but neither is the Singapore Police Force. Even you yourself have admitted to it.
So answer this question: Why should we try to find fault with the police force of another country when we should be working on the faults of our own police force?
Because if your agenda is 'make Singapore look good by making others look bad', then I say that in the end, we are the only ones who will end up looking bad.
If we all had your kind of attitude, our own faults will remain unresolved while we're too busy pointing out the faults of others. -
