If Islam can allow a Muslim Pilot to forgo fasting during Ramadan, and also forego the frequent breaks for daily prayers required of a faithful Muslim, then perhaps maybe we can see some Singapore Malay who qualify to become Fighter Pilots.
One cannot imagine him having to go to the rear of a C-113 cargo plane to perform his prayer during the call from the mosque; let alone having to point his fighter jet towards Mecca when prayer time comes. It leads to quite a fair bit of misunderstanding.
Could this explain for the high number of jet planes crashing from the MAF Air Force ? Perhaps the Pilot had blacked out during manouvers as a result of his fasting. The rate of air crashes experienced by the MAF Air Force is unheard of amongst the air force of South-east Asia.
Strong Opposition can only come about if the population believe in the candidate that offer himself to stand for office.

In a meritocratic country, we do not put "Stars" on anyone shoulders for the sake of propaganda. Every officer in the SAF earn the rank he carry as a result of stringent tests in field commands, and vigorous field exercises.
It is amazing that the MAF with forces that is quarter the size of the SAF has a Four Star Chief of General Staff, Vice-Air Marshal of the Air Force, and a Vice-Admiral of the Navy - all of which carry Four Star Rank. What is their qualifications other then being a loyal obedient servant to the PM and the Defense Minister, or a faithful Bumi member of UMNO and a practising Muslim.
There is only a very small percentage of non-Malay citizens existing in Brunei, and the Royal Brunei Regiment do not need the services of non-Malay citizens to join the force. They do employ the services of British and Gurkha Professional Soldiers in the Brunei Armed Forces.
For your information, not having non-Malays in the Scottish Regiment does not make them racist. They do employ Afro-British Citizens in the scottish Guards (for a more polite term then calling them Blacks).
What excuse has the Royal Malay Regiment got to explain their racist policy of having exclusive recruitment of Malays only in a multi-racial country ?
