obviously the TS is not aware of the hardship the burmese are going through in Myanmar and there are many burmese who are willing to risk their life to swim illegally into singapore. FYI, most children in Myanmar grew up drinking sweeten condensed milk, and not infant power like Singapore puss.y.

I don't think Singaporeans are totally all-talk-and-no-action. Singaporeans, in general, have substantial knowledge of politics and all (I dare not speak for the younger generation)
Of course, people know and are not pleased with many of the policies the Government implemented. People are, generally, aware of the injustice.
But most of the time, people choose to be just armchair-critics even when the Government stuffed bananas up our arses. Because we get to enjoy the very basics of life; we have our roof over our head; food to fill our stomach and all - so for most part, people just close one eye and live with it.
Take away our basics or go overboard, I bet you that people will revolt...

Actually, now is the opportune time for CSJ to organise a protest at the Myanmar Embassy in the name of democracy and anti-dictatorship. This way he can use this 'protest' to politically vibe at PAP - since the PAP has been likened to undemocratic, dictatorial, tyrannical regime.

Singapore has to be worse then Burma {Myanmar} - simply for the fact that as a First World Country, we still have educated persons behaving as goons to work for AND protect the political interests of the MIW government, behaving no better then the goons kept and maintained by the Third World Military Junta of Myanmar.
These goons will not have any conscience or moral values and are blind to the Confucian values towards country and family, but will support an wretched rule simply to preserve themselves.
The goons in a First World Singapore are no different from the goons working in Third World Myanmar - despite the education standards - they have no respect for human or institutional dignity, and will raid one's home or institutions in the middle of the night, and torment their targetted individuals simply to get the confession that they wish to hear.
Singapore status as a First World Country is just a delusion to serve the political vanity of the POWER OF ONE, for the purpose of increasing public status on the Global Stage. -

I am told that most of the Myanmar's soldiers are not paid.. only provided with food and lodging... thus loyalty is in minus parameter.
The Junta's only control the southern part of Myanmar.. the rest are controlled by different ethnics groups - 8 majority ethnic groups...example.. The Shan/Wa.. The Junta is only controls the communication between the different factions.. all hates each other. If civil war breaks up.. it will be worst than Iraq present situation... with three faction.. and it's a desert.
I finds it funny, when any country govt faces major protest for it's calling for it's down fall... what would any other country react ? In south Korea and european countries they are allowed to use tear gas, batons and rubber bullets.. and even automatic pistol to shot at vocal unarmed protestors (I saw one video last year form live-leak - sweden I think). But Myanmar was frowned upon... even if they are initially using tear gas ? Look at french, Italy and south korea... the police are bashing the protestors like no tomorrow.. but it's ok. USA even arrest granny's just for reading their constitution.
Even in Singapore... force charge with batons and tear gas are approved way of dispersing crowds violent or not... as long as they deemed to be of illegal gathering.
