standard...if you are a soldier and you are allowed to shoot, most pple who are curious will probably shoot.
IMAGINE YOURSELF WITH A WEAPON AND AMMO AND YOU ARE ALLOWED TO TEST IT ON PEOPLE WITHOUT KILLING THEM, WOULD YOU TRIED TO SHOOT AT LEAST ONCE?
They are probably told to shoot at the legs so as not to cause death, blindness, paralysis.
You need to have a kind heart and spare a thought for others because all the other soldiers will be shooting at the legs and if you dont shoot, you will be reprimanded and also will be called a 'gu-niang' i bet. -

I think he would be damned pissed if he find out the Rubber Bullet and the 40mm cartridge he was shot with was made by Singapore Technologies Kinetics or ST Advanced Materials.
Worse, he is working in Myanmar as the local agent for STK, STAM. -
I dont think he was intentionally shot at the legs to reduce his injury as opposed to shooting at the body or chest.........he was squatting down....thats why.....his legs shielded his chest.

bullet entry wounds are pretty big as opposed to bullet exit wounds. the ones on his left thigh appears to have entered right below a major vein which might explain the more' greeness' there but the ones on the right shin doesnt look so believable.... -

The bruises on the right shin, has yellow rings, suggesting at least one day old.
Wall tiles as background is the same.

Are pictures taken on the same day or different days?

Those pics look real to me and somebody did get shot by rubber/plastic bullets.If you say it is a pic of a a Singaporean,I would say yeah why not because Singaporeans always apply that yellow stuff on open cuts and wound .By yesterday the color would have changed to more bluish black but you probably could still see the yellow because Singaporeans do apply that yellow stuffs like once every few hours>

Do keep this thread open to protest the treatment our Myanmar brothers are getting from the junta for their fight for democracy. As for simplistic trolls who have nothing better to do then to make fun of people's comments in order to raise your thread counts (could be a silly reason but a viable one for fools as such), please rest assure that I will do anything within my means to get you kicked out. Learn to show respect for others and others will respect you. Or carry on reading your favorite papers and keep your peace.
To all folks, sorry I was away on an overseas trip these few months. I will try to clear up some mess that have happened in the forums. Things will be back to normal soon. (Need to take care of bread and butter issues first) -

I consider myself half Burmese and half Singaporean because I lived 10 years in Burma and 10 years in Singapore. (I'm now in America and I'm 23. I left Singapore when I was 20.) My heart fiercely burns in patriotism for Burma and Singapore.
Obviously, this is a topic close to my heart. I cry thinking about it.
After reading some of your replies, I feel quite dejected.
Like I always knew, some people really don't care and talk about us like we're nobodies - trash. It feels... really terrible. What I'm pleading with you all is this... please..... don't. It really hurts. It hurts more than the military gunning us down.
Destroy Burma? What about the innocent people who are the majority? Everyone, suprisingly inhumane as it is, this is the mindset millions of people have of Burma. Because most people are just standing and watching, pretending not to know it or comforting themselves that it's okay to ignore it because it's not their country and we're strangers. But the truth is we are all connected to one another.

I personally don't ask for anything except to acknowledge us. Acknowledge this problem. Talk to a friend. Tell your family. Think about it to yourself. For one second a day. Or a nano second. Anything. By that, even if I die, at least I know that I was once in your heart and you thought about me. Just don't close one eye and pretend living like nothing's happening to us.
