so you're alright if someone kills another guy but not pay with his life? while the victim's family have to live with the knowledge that their loved one's life is lost and the killer remains live? not mentioning that the victim's family members are paying tax dollars to feed the killer?Originally posted by oOprinceOo:im against it. the aussies are against it. its humanly not right..

Especially in murder cases - you pay for a life you took with your own.
Capital punishment imo is not solely punitive. It also serves to deter by telling people the heavy price one has to pay for taking somebody's life.Originally posted by da-cheese-freakk:but two wrongs do not make a right
mm, true. also, does anyone out there feel that (in some cases) capital punishment may simply be an act of revenge as opposed to justice?Originally posted by Viper`:Capital punishment imo is not solely punitive. But I have to admit there may be cases where one is wrongly accused of murder.
hmm. killing someone with malicious intent outside the law is wrong. you make it up with your own life.Originally posted by da-cheese-freakk:but two wrongs do not make a right
but who are we, as people, to determine who is a "human" and who isn't a human? 'cause by allowing the death penalty, we're essentially taking away people's rights as human beings?Originally posted by Fatum:All for it .....
for murderers, drug traffickers ... and I'm really hoping that they'll implement it for repeat rapists and child sex offenders .... (though castration would do as well) ....
some people doesn't deserve to exist on the same plane as the rest of us .... some people shouldn't be allowed to breed at all .....
kill them all and let God sort them out ! ...
what type of punishment do u propose in place of death penalty then?Originally posted by da-cheese-freakk:but who are we, as people, to determine who is a "human" and who isn't a human? 'cause by allowing the death penalty, we're essentially taking away people's rights as human beings?
