It is quite peculiar in Singapore politics, that only BG's (also one-star Rear-Admirals) enter politics.
The Lt Generals and Maj Generals are only good for the posts of Diplomats, CEO's or Executive Vice-Presidents of Government Corporations.
Will the BG's in power interfere and put a hands-on approach when dealing with the Senior Generals when running a War - much like the US politicians (during the Vietnam war period) hamstringing good military practises, by micro-managing the conduct of war ?
