If there are lots of connections as indicated by some reports in Australia between our government and the Burmah Junta then Chee Soon Juan might well be doing citizens a favor but asking for the books to be open and let citizens judge how clean are those connections.Originally posted by hawkeye1819:Chee Soon Juan is not a simple man..... take the petition for example..... SDP showed extra zeal for Burma's case...... why not Thailand when the coup happened?? Oobviously S'pore govt was their target from the beginning when they planned the petition..... 'cause they think they have prove that they deal with drugs with the Burma govt..... that's why they petition is the only 1 that attack both S'pore and Burma govt

We must look at the big picture if we want to deal with the issues and problems.
Compare this to the Anti-Odex protest? Come on, it only a group of teens protesting with toys action figures. They don't look like protesting too, look more like a group of anime fan gathering together. Yet, the police sent 4 riot police buses, took down their identities, and video records the group activities.Originally posted by kramnave:I beg to differ. If you looked at the photo, they were well dressed and organised. They stood around while someone was giving a speech. They even had name tags on them. They didn't even look like they were protesting or demonstrating. Basically they might have just gone there, made a short speech to themselves and left.
