Thanks for your clarification, unfortunately somehow you persist in the black and white in this issue - {and perhaps applicable to all other issues as well ?}
Surely you do not believe that in any community - even in Animal Farm - that there only sheep exist ?
Even the MIW Party has specially bred super-intelligent, and also find special breeds of dogs to protect their interest and perpetuate their own political future.
The term 'Sheep' is simply a derogatory term mischeviously created - by the resident 'Black Sheep' that hallucinate being a Gazelle - to describe anyone who will willingly - even enthusiastically - accept dissenting views towards the MIW Government.
The 'Black Sheep' will believe that such Singaporeans are uncritical and will enthusiastically support dissenting views without questions, and such arrogant derogatory attitude simply reflects his own uncritical views and enthusiastic support to the deceit practises of the MIW Government.
Under such circumstances, you are not wrong to believe that a situation has been created that 'if you are not with me, or you are against me' - and such a situation has been forced onto this Speakers' Corner by the mischievious methods of the resident 'Black Sheep'
If you do not define your position in a clear and unambiguous way, you will simply be seen to lend your support to the Other Side.

Unquote.
What does this say about the state of Speakers' Corner. Whose fault is it that is has come to this state. The other fellow?
The problem I see in Speakers' Corner is the fixation with
'position'. Where do you stand, is deemed more important than than the opinion offered, or comments made.
I have noticed that name calling/labeling persist in Speakers' Corner especially the term sheep. That's why I state that sheep exist in any camp, pro or anti.
This should be a forum for the discussion of ideas, opinions, views, suggestions, or feelings. And one should be mercenary about it. By that I mean ask, ask what (knowledge) can I gain from this post, what (advise, advice, suggestions) can I contribute. Should there be none, ignore the post.
We should be mature enough to know that we cannot control another person in this forum. So if someone chose to give his opinion on the person, rather than the idea, deem it not worthy of a response. That does not mean you cannot contribute some humour, when the opportunity presents itself.
You have provided many gems of facts and insight, but you flitter your prestige when you joust with Gazelle. I have noticed many thread with a large portion of it being nothing but derogatory remarks about each other personalities. I skip those posts.
You would do well to ignore Gazelle.
Am I an ardent supporter of the PAP, as is alleged?
I am not a member of any political party, neither am I a supporter of any of them. Come election time, I vote with my head. I chose the best of the lot. I do not surcumb to peer perssure.
I am not happy with the PAP presently, because I am twice retrenched, and a third is comming up. I like Goh Chok Tong, because I see him as a PM for the people, but not Lee Hsien Loong, because is a PM for the corporations. But the real reason is, in GCT shift, I was uplifted high economically, in LHL shift, I was sacrificed as an economic fodder.
As for government policies and actions.
I am like a judge in a singing contest.
I appraise the song sung. Not the singer. Should the song be sung well, it will have my applause, if not my criticism. I am not so prejudiced against the person such that no matter what is sung, how it is sung, I give my condemnation.
So for government policies and actions, I support, I critise, I make fun of, I laugh at, I defend, I deride, I comment, accordingly, to my own assessment of them. I have no need to be affiliated to any side, or procure the approval of any group.
