hmm....does this CSJ hold any full time job to support his wife and kids and pay his rent/mortgage??Originally posted by LazerLordz:You like or hate him, at least he's still ensuring the Burmese situation gets some airtime.
This arrest thingy is expected and was alredi a foregone conclusion. The 5 of them knew what wud happen to them and yet they went ahead. Just 5 of them standing in the rain carrying placards was easy to bundle up the police van. Wonder what it wud be if there are 50, 500 or 5000. The full Tactical Police Force will have to be activated!Originally posted by ngejay:From: UncleYap 14:25

Hmmm .... you have little compassion other than personal vendatta. Since you said jail only and you also dare, why weren't you part of the 5? Talk again?Originally posted by LordIcarus:Change the sentence.
Jail only what. I also dare to go in.
Cain him. See if he still has the guts.
Whether you talk here or elsewhere before, it is just your talk. I was replying to your lastest post - to walk your talk!Originally posted by LordIcarus:Hello, i've been in before. Check before you talk.
I'm not there because i don't support the SDP leaders and their reasons.
So, i presume, YOU, will protest in the future, cause you have the balls and cause others are doing it? and not for yourself and the good of others?![]()

Exactly! Human nature is like this: you are of different colour or feather, so I want to incarcerate you!Originally posted by holygoh:Why do Singaporeans support the arrest of another Singaporean just because he is

Most of us are not 'Supporting' his arrest......
But felt that he could do more by not getting arrested again & again & again some more....... CSJ will spend more time in jail because he will refuse to pay the fine. And that is more time wasted because he is spending time in Jail..... yet again.
If CSJ intend to change S'pore for the better..... he should spend more time getting support from S'porean, both Young & Old. Talk about issue that affect our life.... cost of living, Housing, CPF, ERP.... etc. Talking about Human Rights is good and noble..... but it doesn't put FOOD on our table or pay our RENT.
I think it's more like stoo-pidity........Originally posted by HyperFocal:One word sums up CSJ's character:
GUTS.
The real issue here is with so many breaches of the same law by foreigners or their own party members going on how is the government going to uphold law and order from now onward without discrimination or double standard.Originally posted by kramnave:If CSJ spend more time on bread and butter issues, he will no longer receive awards from his ang moh counterparts. I agree with you robertteh.
Let our politicians know that people are unhappy with such double standards and the earlier they change the better for all.
Exactly but who is going to find out ? Why arrest Chee but not the burmese and Singaporeans outside Burmese embassy ? I don't who are the foreign women outside burmese embassy with placards though.Originally posted by robertteh:The real issue here is how the ruling party with so many breaches of the same law is going to uphold law and order from now onward on equal and fair basis. For example, will the foreign women who gathered outside Burmah embassy with protest placards of all sorts be arrested under the same law being used against Chee Soon Juan.
Will the ruling party arrest its own young pap members for staging a cycing marathon under the same law used against WP for staging its anniversary event.
Will posters of MPs be required to pay the government advertisement licence fees charged on many commercial buildings like the People' Park Centre.
If PAP's members and their respective MPs are allowed such privileges whereas oppositions are prohibited then will they be able to enforce the law or will there be law and order to talk about.
All these recent inequitable treatments of people were the source of our current problems so much so that Professor Ho Peng Kee was unable to give a satisfactory reply to queries.
Let our politicians know that people are unhappy with such double standards and the earlier they change the better for all.
Ok..... thats a very scary imageOriginally posted by Poh Ah Pak:He is a brave man Chee Soon Juan.

Why does everyone expect a Singaporean politician to aim for Parliament or to become an MP?Originally posted by hloc:Well and Good that the Myanmar issue is kept 'alive'.......
But shouldn't CSJ put more effect in S'pore 1st
