Lee Kuan Yew is indeed a very smart man, one of Singapore's brightest. A national asset.
However there is something I feel not quite right about him.
That something is, he keep wanting to remain in power.
If u like to watch Chinese imperial dramas, you will see he is like a Grand Emperor, or Prince Regent.
Those kind of characters, reluctant to fully give up power to the new Emperor, so they pass power to new Emperor, but become Grand Emperor, or Prince Regent, so they can still wield power and influence things.
And also...
This interview if u notice, was done at 'Istana'.
'Istana' is a Malay word meaning 'Palace'.
Why is he having an office at the palace? Should be only the President who can be sitting at the throne of the palace.
You know what Im saying?
This is something which bothers me abit about him. I dont know what to think of him. He is very very smart, very visionary, but....it would be 100% perfect for me...if he is more statesman-like, and fully transfer power. Then, I would admire him more.

Nobody can forced you to take a faster walk if you choose to crawl. But as a nation can we afford? If we walk slower, we wouldn't be what we are today. Just look around you - Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines. These countries are many times bigger than the red dot and have plenty of resources. I don't think you know what it is like to live in a very backward country. Maybe you have all the good things that you now take for granted. But I have been constantly reminded of how hard my grandparents and parents have to do to get food on the table.
Anybody who has a better idea to make my world better - I will call him god. Otherwise I will call him dumb! -

Lee Kuan Yew should retire from politics.
His son is already Prime minister.
It is no good for someone to be in power for too long. -
