UP to 4,000 top lawyers and judges will gather here from all over the world for the International Bar Association's 2007 Annual Conference, the most prestigious event on the calendar for the legal profession.

Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew was there to officially announce the opening ceremony today.
MM Lee delivered the keynote speech at the five-day conference which is also the 60th anniversary of the IBA which was formed in New York in 1947.
Today, hundreds of western suit angmors flock about premises around and within Suntec City. They were later invited to Raffles Hotel for a Welcome Party.
