Chee was removed from his job because... Do you know how many times the media reporters/managerial was sacked because the newspaper writings did not go according to what PAP wanted? Do you know about that teacher who was sacked moments after she voted for opposition parties? I guess most didn't know, or most would have forgotten, but here's just the reminder. For most people, they won't even know the underground things happening in the political atmosphere, if they did, I might have hope for a better response.
Chee probably took it really far, he seriously wanted to fight against the injustice of the PAP system, but what can a man do when his fellow countrymen choose not to take the risk? It's a risk to go against PAP, even if you do the right thing, or never do the wrong thing, you run getting screwed.
I think if PAP really wants the respect of people, they should have do things in a better way, instead of shutting out the opposition and pretend the citizens of singapore are stupid idiots who don't know about those unfair "sackings" and those unfair treatments dished out to whoever is against them. -

A very good friend of mine is a scholar/teacher and he voted for the opposition. Job is still sound and intact.
2) How often do we hear rumours, only to see half the time that it is untrue?
