we should be proud ...Originally posted by Meat Pao:To be honest, I dont think the critism should be focused so much on Temasek's investment performance......
Some gain....some lose.....but honestly the cumulative overall performance has been quite good.....so...theres nothing to critisize there...
Besides, Im sure those decisions are taken by professionals.
So.....
What I find more amazing and amusing is, how in the world, the world's most powerful opinion makers, most powerful media groups, bend down and kneel down.....I find it a bit.....almost unbelievable....
I admire them, but not sure whether this is 'good' admiration or 'bad' admiration.

hello, whatever they lose they will make it up by making people pay for it. Afterall, it is not their money so why should they care.Originally posted by kramnave:cool...lets monitor how much they "lose" every month till they liquidate their holdings.

Actually, it is not my concern at all, the shameless gahmen has their ways to deal with it.Originally posted by kramnave:''
How do you lose if you don't liquidate ? Not that such an investment is marked to market everyday. Ultimately its still an asset.
There is nothing to deal with as nothing is lost, just paper value.Originally posted by qlqq9:Actually, it is not my concern at all, the shameless gahmen has their ways to deal with it.
I continue to hope that the foreign media continue to dig out more dirt to expose the present gahmen of our country.
I am not sure about WP and other opposition parties. These oppositions don't seem to be strong to the extent they can make any major changes. Initially, I think very well of WP, now I have doubts about them.Originally posted by kramnave:There is nothing to deal with as nothing is lost, just paper value.
Dig dirt ? i don't know about that. How about they sever ties, cut trade and impose sanctions on us as well ? The only choice now is for WP to engage more talents and hopefully they gain more seats.
It'll take time and effort. I'm very impressed with Sylvia Lim on her assertion that Singaporeans can solve our own problems internally and we do not require external interference. We have our problems and we don't see eye to eye but internationally we should stand as one.Originally posted by qlqq9:I am not sure about WP and other opposition parties. Go figure, you idiots.
Baseless allegations? I cannot be sure about other allegations made in other threads. But for this thread, ALL Singaporeans know about the Lee Dynasty. Yes I say Lee Dynasty. U will definitely know it unless u are not a Singaporean to begin with.Originally posted by oxford mushroom:Those who make baseless allegations are rightly taken to task. No need to bother about brainless ranters in Sgforums like Atobe though...they don't matter.

Nothing is lost just paper value? Are u sure?If that is the case, the government control newspaper wont everyday criticise Thailand after Temasek holdings lost their investment in the country. You think we Singaporeans are nuts is it?Originally posted by kramnave:There is nothing to deal with as nothing is lost, just paper value.
There is demonstrations against LKY occur, its just that our newspaper wont dare to report it!!!!Originally posted by kramnave:If protests on the internet and media equates to demonstrations, then whats the use of demonstrations ?
Even if there is demonstrations against LKY and LHL overseas, does our newspapers dare to report it?[Originally posted by kramnave:Yes. To add on, SDP is affliated to tons of organisations worldwide and chee received an award for his efforts. However, why has there been no worldwide demonstrations against us if these international organisations are aware of the "atrocities" happening in Singapore ? Why has there been no demonstrations against LHL and LKY when they go overseas ? Best thing is LKY get invited to talks, receive honorary degrees etc George Bush personally sign FTA with GCT...weird isn't it ?
I have never said that Singapore is "big". I didn't think signing the FTA is a big deal too. What i'm highlighting is that the U.S president came out to sign the FTA with our prime minister and thats rare. Most likely its due to Singapore siding with U.S in the "war against terror" anyway. You are on the internet if there is any demonstrations against Singapore, you'll get to know about it. Whether any countries give a damn about Singapore, i leave that for you to judge. My point is that no country is giving a damn about Chee Soon Juan.Originally posted by drawer:Even if there is demonstrations against LKY and LHL overseas, does our newspapers dare to report it?[

Another thing is American sign FTA with Singapore is no big deal, becoz this agreement also beneficial to United States, and American also sign FTA with other countries as well, does that mean American "bow" to other nations? When Singapore caned the American teenager who commited crime in Singapore,Clinton even refuse to see Boot-licker Goh Chok Tong and left him embarass in the country. You think Singapore is "Big"?
Recently, the SIA sign with British an agreement that they can fly from London to New York. But our PAP leaders have to wait very long to be able to sign such agreement.Whereby Hong Kong already allow to fly the routes.Look kramnave,no countries really give a damn about Singapore, our PAP leaders only boasting themselves in the newspaper to make Singapore sounds "Big"!!!!
Singapore might be small but we are the strongest US partner in the ASEAN region (a region with population of 500m and US$1 trillion economy) and our leaders has the ability to influence US policy on ASEAN.Originally posted by kramnave:I have never said that Singapore is "big". If you want to know the complete arguments with regards to Dr Chee Soon Juan instead of allowing yourself to be led by the nose with the propaganda... read the whole thread of:Originally posted by kramnave:My point is that no country is giving a damn about Chee Soon Juan.
Look, nothing is really lost other than paper value. Criticism is bound to occur as even a paper loss of 2 billion is substantial. It won't be a loss eventually if we can recover that paper loss. The problem was that at that point point of time, Thailand seemed to want to wipe out the entire investment and make us realise that loss immediately.Originally posted by drawer:Nothing is lost just paper value? Are u sure?If that is the case, the government control newspaper wont everyday criticise Thailand after Temasek holdings lost their investment in the country. You think we Singaporeans are nuts is it?
