btw, not sure if the newspaper will buy the story or if the school will just do some slick PR or whatever. whereas the court would be more objective(hopefully) and the results would be more daming. But of course theres the cost........ -

Depends on your school rules. Mine says that they are not liable if confiscated items are lost, burnt, or pawned by teachers.

One way, bring yr parents and go school make noise. CB, lost the PSP, yet say school not responsible for the lose? Then dun confiscate lah. Or ask them go find out who stole it and report to your parents and demand the schpol to return or pay back for the lost of the PSP. Ask the school with part of the school rules states that the school not liable if confiscated items are lost, burnt, or pawned by teachers, provide the black and white. If not, sent mail to MOE and complain but make sure to cc to those big shot people, then MOE will do something. Sue, no use, waste time and money unless u rich. BTW, which school ah? Then next time u confiscate others PSP and say the school confiscated it and blame the school for losing or misplaced it lah. KNN

Just bring your parent there to ask for compensation. If they refuse to compensate the lost of item under they care, you can simply log a police report. Why even bother with suing them? Time to make our police work a bit.

you shouldn't have flaunted your psp in the first place, get the education and don't be a future loser...
your school is responsible for the loss, get your daddy to make the claim.....since it was confiscated with the intention to return, your school has failed to deliver....no point suing though, didn't you read just to get your lawyer do nothing you'll still have to pay....the basic demand letter from the lawyer would already cost you at least $100 - $200, how much is your psp brand new? -

THE ISSUE NOW IS LOSING MY PSP AND NOT CONFISCATING IT. -
First inform the principle.
Tell him you can accept the confiscation but not the loss.
Someone stole it, while it is under the custody of the school.
See what he will do about it.
The principle can investigate, try to recover it, or compensate you.
If he is not going to do anything, tell him you will go to the police and report it as a theft. Someone must have stolen it.
You can go to the police and report it as a loss. Explain it as it is, includidng the principle's action . Your mistake in bringing it to school, should not be an issue. It is a possible theft.
The psp may miraculously reappear. -
