they have no sense of humility, no sense of forgiveness, no sense of right and wrong.
they only learn how to manipulate the law to push people around.
they taunt teachers, they provoke them knowing the teachers cannot fight back.

you're going to be very exhausted if you're always looking for a fight, and worrying that someone's gonna push you around. and these threats may not even exist.
i'm not saying you have to stand there to get beaten up. but you've got to ask yourself is this how you want to live your life for the next 50 years. always struggling and accusing people of pushing you around. how to enjoy life?
you only have one life to live. make it a joyful one. don't be such a pain in the butt. bring joy to others, bring joy to yourself.

not sure how it is to you, but for me its 2 separate matters. he might have been wrong about bringing the item in (lets not argue about whether its wrong), but that doesn't exonerate the school from its later wrongdoings. sort of 2 wrongs not making 1 right -
It may be more appropriate to lodge a complaint with the ministry of Education.....

he should hv respectfully gone to the principal and discuss it. i didn't read carefully, did he say he went to the principal and got brushed off then he went to lodge a report to MOE?

and it's gonna be a pity if the teacher who confiscated the PSP was made to pay for the loss. like that who wants to enforce the school rules again? then kids are going to run even more amok

I'd assume that is considered a taunt, not punishment for breaking a rule, but bully.
Judging from the posts throughout the thread, gives me the feeling that the teacher might have deliberately "lost/misplaced" the game console.

I see no reason why not if nothing was done by the person in charge to blow the matter up. I got the impression the confiscator wanted to just brush it off fromt he posts. Not sure if he went to the principal. but then again i wonder if going to the principal will be sufficient to correct such a situation. I don't think its a rare situation that confiscated items get misplaced or whatever and perhaps so spotlight on it would help. main issue is that its not about revenge.
about the teacher having to pay, well i think its fair. thats if theres no like central depository to put confiscated items. afterall, even if you are doing your job when you take that item(and its not cheap) you should take care of it. well thats unless reasonable action has been taken to safeguard like putting in locked drawer. -
Next time round(hopefully not)
, don't give up whatever you are caught with, just get the principal called up, admit your crime and get the parents called in, at least that item MIGHT just stay intact. -

the principle......as always, always siding the teacher
I took the complaint to the MOE directly as I felt that MOE would give me a better explanation, compared to my principal, who's very draggy and naggy.
By the call made this afternoon, from talking about the psp, he could change the topic to school lessons
how bad is that?
Here was what happened,
The day before, they said they'd call me back today.
This morning 8am , I called the school to follow up on the case.
they said they'd call me back
I waited till 3, no call from them, and so I called them
The clerk put me through to the Principal
Convo :
Me : I am calling in regards..................................
Principal : Yes , yes, we are still looking for your psp.
Me : oh..okay.
Principal : You could've came to look for me instead of going to the MOE to complain (something like tt)
[prior to that, I made a complaint to MOE]
I dont like your attitude of handling this thing ,you get what i mean?
Me : orh .ok ...ok...
Principal : right now we're investigating how your psp was made lose, might me handed over to the wrong person, or a possible theft blah blah blah ..
and investigations need time
Me : I was supposed to collect my psp 3 days ago, that was 4 days' grace for you all. before that ,I was told the school would call me back, but I received no call.
Principal, investigations need time
Me : orh.. okayokay...
P : are you part of the bridging programme?
Me : *thinking* wtf? I'm calling to enquire bout my psp u talk to me about lessons?!
