Is Chee a icon for opposition?

I have noticed that there has been an increasing number of thread in this forum talking about the almighty Dr. Chee.
I am just curious
a) If he is the new icon for opposition parties?
b) Why there isnt much talk about Low and Chiam?
c) Is Chee's people promoting Dr. Chee in this forum? -
I'm surprise you can infer so much about what people post here, yet fail to infer any recent comments that ministers has said.

Actually, maybe he is the icon. He receives the most publicity (planned of course) and he everything also oppose.

The reason for this is very simple.
Dr Chee Soon Juan is the most active, the most aggressive in taking action against the PAP ruling clique.
If WP and SDA also make more moves, their actions also will be reported.
SDP must keep up the pressure on the PAP and build up momentum towards the next general elections in about 3 year's time.
WP and SDA can profit from SDP's actions.
SDP, by using propaganda to agitate and neutralise off a certain sector of the 66.6% PAP supporters, they open up a gap for WP and others to exploit.
This is good. -
hunger strikes and waving placards outside the prata man's house does not count as political pressure in my books .... they are antics, maybe the chap has spent too much time in taiwan, where politics are circus acts ... in anycase, he and his party would never get my vote ...
now if WP would clean up their act and loose embarrassments and dead weights like gomez, I'd give them a very very careful consideration should they contest in my constituency come the next election .... -

AFIK, the turn out at Dr Chee rally is quite pale compare to
others. -

nah...singapore media hardly talking about dr. chee these days if they do, it is usually a small article. Guess the government is smart enough to know that what Chee is after is publicity. Good or bad depwill depending on who is looking at it. -

I note that a lot of people see him as an iconic figure ... "fighting for freedom and democracy" and all that ....
but I see plenty of people like him where I am now .... anywhere else he would belong to the leftist lunatic fringe, barely a political gadfly ... but in singapore people read about him in some parts of the foreign media and think of him as a hero ....

Che is an icon...
however, if you look properly, Che was also the one who was in charge of Castro's death squads...
he was also a failed revolutionary who went and tried to incite violent overthrow of governments even when the people there didn't want anything to do with him or his ways... and then Che blamed the people for his failures..
he then went to Bolivia to incite another violent overthrow and was reported to the army who surrounded him...
when he was captured, he yelled to his captors that he was Che and was more valuable to them alive than dead, hoping that they'll not cut him down in a hail of gunfire..
in the end, he died..
add another "e" to it, you have Chee.. trying to be an icon too... probably deep down, the same as Che... with people who do not know better promoting him and his 'revolutionary' ways.... -

Dr Chee keeps getting into the news. Of course he gets mentioned here as well. Furthermore, not only here but international media as well.
Did Mr Chiam make it into FEER? No. Why? Well, he hasn't done anything news worthy that's why! -

The reason there are so many threads on Dr Chee is because of people like TS that cannot simply continue in present Dr Chee threads and start new Dr Chee threads... -
