To me, I don't judge them by what they are offering or are going to offer, or have done so far. Based on their obvious SINCERITY & PERSEVERENCE, I say a change of government would do us all a WHOLE lot of GOOD!Originally posted by gUms:Im not into politics , but i as a commoner would like to know what are the oppositon parties offering to us... ???
And pls explain in layman terms , not in highly chim political terms.

More GSTOriginally posted by t_a_s:Can I ask what are the PAP MPs offering to us Singaporeans?
so the opposition can offer the other way round, reduce GST, less ERP, not compulsory annuityOriginally posted by maurizio13:More GST
More 3rd world immigrants to compete with us for jobs & salaries so that we can make Singapore more competitive While at the same time increasing their own ministerial salaries so that they become richer.
More ERP
Compulsory annuity for those living till 90-100.
Nope, rather they should justify their policies, such as increasing their pay to million $ salary is to keep talents. But all they do is -> traffic jam = raise ERP, rich poor gap = raise gst, population aging = compulsory annuity. Like that, everyone can do, I also can do it free, vote for me? Every problem we encounter, they raise tax from us to solve the problem.Originally posted by t_a_s:so the opposition can offer the other way round, reduce GST, less ERP, not compulsory annuity
Beside supposedly playing the role of govt-in-waiting, another very impt role is to provide check and balance on the incumbent govt. Democracy can only work on the basis of mistrust of too much power in any one branch of govt or in any one party or in any one man.Originally posted by gUms:Im not into politics , but i as a commoner would like to know what are the oppositon parties offering to us... ???
