To me, I don't judge them by what they are offering or are going to offer, or have done so far. I'm sick & heluva FED UP with the present Self-preserving, self-praising, self-promoting, & self-salary increasing government that pushes all responsibilities of looking after citizens, to the citizens themselves..!!!
We never pined for Welfare or Handouts, we all try our level best to survive all their inconsiderate policies & increases in living costs, why can't they just leave our money & how we end our lives, ALONE?? -

Nope, rather they should justify their policies, such as increasing their pay to million $ salary is to keep talents. But all they do is -> traffic jam = raise ERP, rich poor gap = raise gst, population aging = compulsory annuity. Like that, everyone can do, I also can do it free, vote for me? What I see now is the opposition has been doing a good job considering their resources and putting up good rebuttal against the PAP. At least they don't give lame reasons like raise GST is to help the poor and raise ERP is to help cars more affordable to cover up the failure of solving traffic jams. -
Beside supposedly playing the role of govt-in-waiting, another very impt role is to provide check and balance on the incumbent govt.
