That's actually a different issue - whether society should protect people from themselves.Originally posted by Chin Eng:on the same note.... what has gamblers done to you???
your parents were gamblers? you were a gambler?
and ...... where to buy your book hah?
Yes I am, and I also believe that God gave us free will, and not religious tyranny.Originally posted by faroukalhadad:I'm not an extremist. We and a few others are trying our best to warn others. ut people treat us like we think the sky is falling down.
Are you a God believing person?
But I think the issue here is why can't we just live and let live? No one is forcing you to be homosexual.Originally posted by faroukalhadad:I'm not an extremist. We and a few others are trying our best to warn others. ut people treat us like we think the sky is falling down.

Well said. I would give you two thumbs up but there's no emoticon for thumbs up.Originally posted by LazerLordz:Yes I am, and I also believe that God gave us free will, and not religious tyranny.
You want to condemn their behavior, fine go ahead, but better not attempt to use the laws of the land to enforce your religious views on others. That is legal extremism and an attempt to place your religious views on others who may not share your same religion.

In your religion, if someone commits a homosexual act, he will be punished by God right? So just leave it at that and let God sort it out.

Seems a bit like fear-mongering to me though.Originally posted by faroukalhadad:like i said, people always get lullabied into a false sense of "live and let live" until the consequences come up in your face.
live and let live?
thats wat they said too in california. they tolerated the gays.
and now, their teenage daugthers will have to get naked in front of boys, and they cannot stop it.
i didn't identify you guys coz you hadn't posted yet. :pOriginally posted by Herzog_Zwei:Phaze, you forgot to mention january, sillyme and me.
I am an irreligionist while sillyme is christian. January is an aethist who doesn't like Buddhism.
And I find faroukalhadad to be a religious bigot who tries to frighten people into presecuting homosexuals with religious fears.

i am speaking not on behalf of my religion but as a singaporean who feels that ALL religions, regardless have the best position to stop this menace.
