There is no proof that the person who sent the NMP the letter was a gay person. You are already hitting the slippery slope of majority wins argument of yours. So apartheid laws if approved by a majority makes a right then by virtue of your logic?
I can say that the gay lobby is the type who are the IN YOUR FACE type but that does not make it criminal. It is them expressing their opinions and view which differs from the majority and they are not criminal because what they do in the bedroom is their choice as long as it does not impose criminally on the rights of other citizens .
They are just a minority group. They did nothing to harm anyone as a group. Individual wise , if a person commits a crime, that person should be duly persecuted , not to the group he belongs to. If we go down the road of blaming a whole minority group for the sins of the one , we might as well persecute whole ethnic groups for the sin of one chinese/malay/indian/caucasian/eurasian person then. -

Discrimination against anyone who is different in ethnicity ,religion, or even sexual orientation exists everywhere regardless of the laws to prevent it.

Either way, the gay lobby has no argument.
They can lobby for active enforcement with more severe penalties so that the law is now not redundant.
Or they can leave it at that - a useless law. If so, why are they so bothered by it? Fact is that gays are not discriminated like the blacks during apartheid. Neither are Christians lobbying for massive boycott against dramas starred by gay actors or salons owned by gay stylists. In fact, Dan Brown has a stronger case 'cos the Christian boycott against his DVC is greater. -

You know after watching all the activities in here I am getting the idea that some individuals are getting some weird satisfaction (religious or personal) out of gay bashing activities.
To the religious: Go to your place of worship and do whatever you do there or go help some needy people.
To those who have a personal agenda: You can't turn gay even if you wanted to, and yes, your @#$ is pretty safe if you leave your pants on when you go outdoors. -
