sg'reans, what change have you contributed to sg?

Being apathetic lot, ask yourselves,
other than watching people coming into and out of sg,
what change have you contributed to sg,
as a so-called proud citizen?
Change need not be bad. What is surely bad is InAction for last 50 years, for example.
How do you compare with citizens of other 1st world countries which also practise democracy?
What have you changed , ask yourselves before you sleep, this question. -
where do you stand among the great 1st world citizens of the world?

I think, & also FEEL that, the first thing to change, is the Attitudes & Manners of Singaporeans...
Locals should really work hard on their Common Courtesy & General Manners to gain some respect from the said government that as a people, they have matured somewhat...
..as of now, people by & large, are still incorrigibly Selfish, & Inconsiderate... which only affirms why certain policies put in place by the government, REMAINS in place...
People lack the initiative to automatically BE NICE... hence rules & regulations that "herds" the people into more acceptable formations...

I also sense a very 'fengjian' culture deep rooted.
ppl are cruel to one another.
why? is it due to the upbringing?
kiasi and kiasu and tamsim and queue up for freebies and stomp maids to death and torture maids and backstab and queue up and fight over hello kitty and serve community to gain seat for child in good schools and scared of this scared of that and ta-zong-lian-pi-cong-pang-zi?

One person cannot do much to chance society.
But collectively as sgporean, I am hoping that within the next 50 years, sgporean will learn the following lesson.
That we should not use wealth, power or status to bully the weaker or the less fortunate.
Again I am not optimistic. With the rise of China and India from peasantry to wealthy class, the situation will get worse, not just locally, but also globally. -

I couldn't vote because there was a walkover.
I spoke up in a face to face forum and got torn down by an MP. Although the other MP was more willing to listen and he actually did push a similar idea on. Til this day , I respect the guy who listened . Just not the other who put me down.
In summary , I contributed taxes and to the CPF which the Singaporean government uses to invest money in. Changes I don't know. -

Is there really any regime on this planet run by a bunch of megalomaniac despots that is capable of churning out a civic-minded citizenry befitting first world civilizations? Ignorance and apathy are quintessential elements for such rogue regimes to thrive after all. -

My contribution to sg...
after watching me me wake up, brush teeth and stare at the ceiling till book out on saturdays....they decided to implement 5-day work week in Singapore for civil service and NS.....
after monitoring me in NS, they figured that for every 2 days i work, i spend 2 days stoning and another 1 day tuanging outside camp....then they decided to reduce national service to 2 yrs.
These things were not reported in the Straits Times because its "sensitive" information . It goes unreported...my contribution..
