U sure are vainOriginally posted by AndrewPKYap:... you deny that Ho, the Jinx bought more of Barclays Bank in July, the month the year long sub-prime situation turned into a crisis?
Yes, your moment of sanity was really brief... after that moment, you went back to hearing voices telling you Woffle Wu (sic) worked on me... and Russel Wong touched up my pic...? Please don't cool it... you better see a psychiatrist ASAP if you are hearing voices telling you rubbish... insanity is no joke.
... pot calling the kettle black? You can make "a mild rib about" my pic but I cannot make a mild rib about your sanity?Originally posted by TS Kan:U sure are vainJust a mild rib about your pic and u go berserk...... if u are of the opposite gender one can still accept. U are exactly the type u hold in disdain in your siggy. If u were in the shoes of these people u probably be many times worse! How can u be a worthy, credible and respected critic of Singapore's imperfections

So ... u are a hypocrite and dishonourable. HowOriginally posted by AndrewPKYap:.... and so, now, the biggest issue to watch out for would be inflation in a world awash with newly printed money...
The sick government in Singapore, would not be too concerned about rising prices if they have to make policies that will affect businesses and the rich, to counter inflationary pressures (just as they would not be too concerned with businesses when they have to make policies that affect the rich, like rising property and property rental prices).
... hahaha... do you know how to take advantage of that situation? Do you know how to profit from the activities of a sick government?
... do you know how and when the activities of a sick government will come to roost?
... *sigh* ... the only thing left to do is to be hypocrites and profit from the situation and crap about the injustice of it all... unless you are honorable like Dr Chee and make yourself a martyr.![]()

... if you know the history, the 'gain' was probably a write back of the billion dollars write down for Optus.... we will never know just like we did not know what TT Durai was doing at NKF... SingTel sees US$82m gain, US$66m disposal loss
SINGAPORE - Singapore Telecommunications said on Monday it would record an exceptional gain of around $118 million (US$82 million) and post a $96 million loss from the disposal of a stake in a Taiwan company.
The company said the translation gain arose after an Australian subsidary reduced its Australian-dollar denominated share capital by A$323 million (US$283 million) while its loss resulted from a deal to swop SingTel's stake in New Century InfoComm Tech Co for new shares in Taiwanese mobile phone operator Far EasTone Telecommunications Co.
Both the exceptional loss and gain will be recorded in SingTel's third quarter ended Dec 31, 2007.
SingTel said in a statement that the gain and a $84 million translation gain recorded in the first three months this year would amount to $202 million for the nine months ending Dec 31, 2007. -- REUTERS

..another case of profiteering from Singaporeans and giving the money to foreigners... (after putting millions into their own pockets as their so-called well deserved salaries... )
... and another thing, I don't know about myself, but for sure, some people (unlike you) are not willing to sell their souls to gain the world....Originally posted by tripwire:CSJ can go and jump off the cable car....
we had more opposition members once.. they did won a GRC IIRC.... turns out to be clowns..... and were kicked off by their voters in the subsequent election.
bottomline is... singapore have no resources... but our country commands one of the largest sovereign funds on this planet.... for all the wrongs they may have done... its clear they must have done something right.... given the hordes of cash at their fingertips.
look at our neighbours... tons of resources... millions of coolies...millions of kilometers square of land and sea.... they still come begging from us!
if you are really so capable... its a wonder the GIC or temasek never invites you to join them...... or were you rejected?![]()
