When i was typing these in a cybercafe in Katong, i am actually sitting next to a China hooligan.
So many of them here.I dont know why they are here in Singapore in the first place.So many of them now's aday.Their attitude sux to the core.Not only are they rude, dirty, no manners, they shout at one another or even put their legs high up when they sit.
These are the foriegn peoples our government are getting now.And lot's of them already settle here in Singapore.I wonder why you guys still can still think it's a global issue?I dont think we can see such kind of peoples in Australia..., do they?
Or Britian or Sweden! I think the government by telling us that these is a global issue and we must accept it, they are actually telling us that we must accept these peoples into our fine fine city.And ... frankly speaking from my heart, it wont be long... i say again it wont be long when our Singapore land will be full of these China peoples or hooligans,coming here laughing at us for being so useless and in the end, the foriegners see us as second class citizens.
Global issue is just a lie.I think the government is trying to sell us out to the China government.Or else why are there so so so many many China peoples in Singapore now??????? I need an answer from the PAP government, are they trying to sell us out to Communist China??? -

Sooner, alot of indians from india oso join in the fun. These 2 countries seem to flood S'pore overnight. Now, our govt just anyhow open the door bcos incompetent to attract talents back & increase birthrate loh. But still get million salary. Don't forget, MP is not affected bcos they stay far away fr these foreigners. These foreigners oso contribute to GST or whatever tax the govt can extract fr them loh.
Channel U got telecast some PRC who do hair-cutting in geylang without license. They claim themselves as hair-cutting professional . When they r approach by interviewer to prove whether they have license to operate here , they show their work permit stated that they r construction workers. Haha, like that oso can. -

If you would take up the jobs that they do, do you think that the gahmen would import them?
would you work as a cleaner, construction worker, server when you actually held diploma certs or above? Don't look down on those people. Some bangalas are actually degree holders who came to sweep the floor cos we chose not to do those jobs...
But then... when we are out of job, we complain that they took up all our jobs... -

Pls ho.. Singapore don't take up that job not becos of looking down on those job. It's becos those job pay TOO LOW. $700,u need to pay transport,food and buy neccessity. SIngaorean are the one going to stay here and retire. While those people saving up a bit can go home and enjoy a better standard of living. Is not they snatch our rice bowls, is we ownself kpkb don't want do the more lowly jobs.
Since we kpkb and demand for high pay only, we are opening job opportunities to them with cheap labour costs etc. -

And we definitely see lots of these problems and worse in other cities, as mentioned by other forumites.
And foreigners seeing us as second class? Unfortunately, most foreigners can't differentiate between the chinese. As long as your skin's yellow, you r one and the same. Same when you go meet these foreigners outside sillypore.

fyi, i'm in adelaide, south australia and this place is filled with china people too. we got to admit to the fact that china has the biggest population in the world, and their records of population is probably wrong due to the fact that many do not have a birth cert. and also not every china peeps is considered dirty, rude, etc etc like what you said. i've met many of them here in my hostel, and they are very helpful and nice, i think we can stop judging them with our biases eyes.

There are good immigrants and bad immigrants in every country.
Ethnic violence happens in Australia, USA and Europe. But those are mainly middle eastern gangs or vietnamese gangs vs the triads .
Most of the migrants in Australia are looking for a better life , like the forefathers who came to Singapore. Some expect a free handout and some don't. Some commit crimes and some are law-abiding citizens. Some integrate and some don't.
Same everywhere. -
