Is it legal for government to approve their own salaries?

  I am asking you to understand that there is a general principle of law or rule of law and this law or morality if you will the government should observe if it wants to govern the country with the support of all.

  What has it got to do with me posting 2 countries as an example to counter spartan's argument ?

  I am not stopping you from replying to Spartan but as regards my thread, I have given my view too why the ministers should not have written their own pay cheques.
