The fact that others like Zimbabwe did illegal things overseas does not make our ministers' self-approval of their own million-dollar salaries plus unlimited bonuses, plus life pensions less illegal.Originally posted by kramnave:Reyes bro !,
as i told Robert, Spartan said its illegal overseas so i juz provided france and ireland...and canada as examples that all.
When i read a thread or a post i and i see a discrepancy, i feel obliged to share what i know...regardless of anything...
Erm, are you trying to discuss ministerial salary with me or you are quoting me for the sake of quoting me ?Originally posted by robertteh:The fact that others like Zimbabwe did illegal things overseas does not make our ministers' self-approval of their own million-dollar salaries plus unlimited bonuses, plus life pensions less illegal.
The ministers should have observed the general principle of law that "no one should be a judge or jury in his own cause" and let an independent entity deal with their own salary increments and bonuses and pensions period.
I am asking you to understand that there is a general principle of law or rule of law and this law or morality if you will the government should observe if it wants to govern the country with the support of all.Originally posted by kramnave:Erm, are you trying to discuss ministerial salary with me or you are quoting me for the sake of quoting me ?
What has it got to do with me posting 2 countries as an example to counter spartan's argument ?Originally posted by robertteh:I am asking you to understand that there is a general principle of law or rule of law and this law or morality if you will the government should observe if it wants to govern the country with the support of all.
Is this simple enough ?
I am not stopping you from replying to Spartan but as regards my thread, I have given my view too why the ministers should not have written their own pay cheques.Originally posted by kramnave:What has it got to do with me posting 2 countries as an example to counter spartan's argument ?

According to our great and visionary leader if people in the GRC election do not object that means they have agreed and given him the mandate to do as he has done. Period.Originally posted by reddressman:Legal or not ,
