Shocking! NUS students to stage protest at ASEAN Summit.

A group of international students from the National University of Singapore has released a press statement announcing that they will be holding a protest outside Shangri-la Hotel as a mark of solidarity with the Burmese people.
The students will wear red t-shirts and stand in groups of four to remain within Singapore's stringent laws against the freedom of assembly. They represent a larger number of students in Singapore who are concerned about the Burmese situation and Singapore's direct involvement, but are too afraid of reprisals to personally participate.
They also have the support of thousands of students and others worldwide who cannot participate on the day. -

Bystanders, onlookers, spectators, eyewitnesses and watchers are also encouraged to wear red on that day...oh yes, and also expect the SDP supporters to visit briefly.

A very good start to revive Singapore democracy. It is a good news for all Singaporeans. Celebrate our democracy too on that day by wearing red.

1) You are Singaporean are you not ?
2) You believe you have some political rights that is worth fighting for.
3) By attaining these political rights you believe it allows for a better future.
4) By not fighting for your rights and beliefs, you have put yourself into that category you just described: lack quality, timid, inward looking, shortsighted etc -

Singaporeans who have serious issues with the present political system not only lack the quality to fight for their own political rights, they are too timid, inward looking to do anything to help to allow themselves a better future. They are very shortsighted as well.
This sounds better..at least its not all Singaporeans but a section of Singaporeans.
