Sillypore has a long way to go to being 1st world....like what someone said before, Sillypore is only 1st world in terms of facilities but 3rd world in terms of their attitude towards foreigners and all the apathy, kiasuism...how pathetic....but its going to be like that for a long time to come, thanks to the MIW
1st world in terms of facilities....
acturely,
china is also 1st world in terms of facilities, IF you selectively consider the various types and aspects of world class facilities they have been using.
Sg is so tiny even at city size level. its not as difficult to have nice infra and make available facilities to most people here , COMPARED to truely large countries. But this does not mean truely large countries where facilities is not covered in 100% of its land area is not 1st world in facilities.
Take india for example. it also has satellites, maybe technologically advanced weapon systems, world class computer centers, world class facilities. But may not be available in all of india. china, the same.
facilities is bought by money also.
Its easy to buy top end notebooks & internet facilities for a small class of 10 students compared to buying top end notebooks & facilities for a large class of say, 100 million students. But this does not mean the large class does not have world class facilities.
i pray no one is ignorant.
