we are going to have a REAL Rolls Royce aircraft engine assembly plant, we don't have it ALL because there is another plant, the original plant in the UK, and we are feeling GOOD. Don't you? why must you also look at the negative side?Originally posted by LazerLordz:Expected as much.
Well, time to return to the real world and let these wankers think they have it all and good.![]()

If you had bothered to read carefully, my posts in this thread have not been about the Rolls Royce plant (which will be in Seletar), and have been in relation to the climate issues at large in Jurong West.Originally posted by sgdiehard:we are going to have a REAL Rolls Royce aircraft engine assembly plant, we don't have it ALL because there is another plant, the original plant in the UK, and we are feeling GOOD. I cannot be bothered. The more I let him speak - the more dumber he looks. Sghardie obviously thinks he knows more than the NUS researchers.Originally posted by LazerLordz:Expected as much.

Are you claiming that those NUS researchers are talking out of their ass then? Because I am merely talking about their research. I think it was done quite well.Originally posted by sgdiehard:Singapore's plan in pollution control is world class, there is no need to brag to me. If you have a few hundred millions to invest in Singapore, then we will ask you what is your pollution control management. If we are not happy, we don't want your investment. Something you may want to know, many industries want to invest in Singapore, but we can choose what we want.
Tell me, how do Rolls Royce aircraft engine assembly facility, industrial gas manufacturer and biodiesel plant cause pollution??
you are really talking through your bottom.![]()
do you know what is an assembly plant? who says we are producing aircraft engines?Originally posted by rooki:
Rolls Royce aircraft component no need use dangerous/poisonous chemicals one ah? Advanced alloys, cadmium metal, etching solvents, tell me you don't need those in producing aircraft engines.
Industrial gas manufacturer. Assuming the gas in question is CNG/methane, IT IS POISONOUS. And no matter how tightly sealed the compound is, SOME WILL LEAK OUT.
Biodiesel plant. Processing, cracking of hydrocarbons (biodiesel) need heat. Lots of heat. Where does it come from? From burning gas/oil/coal of course. Now prove to me burning something doesn't cause pollution.
The latest catch for singapore is about rolls royce plant, what has climate issues at large in jurong west got to do with rolls royce plant? common sense??Originally posted by LazerLordz:If you had bothered to read carefully, my posts in this thread have not been about the Rolls Royce plant (which will be in Seletar), and have been in relation to the climate issues at large in Jurong West.
Jeez. Is common sense so hard to find?

Of all things , hammering the research done by Singapore's premier university just to prove that one idiotic idea of yours is true (despite how fallacious it is) , that has gotta be very low. And you dare to call yourself a Singaporean.

Australia has long experience with mining and the world biggest exporter of coal. Coal pollutes when it is mined, transported to the power plant, stored, and burned. Just look at china, they are polluted with Australia coal.
On the basis of this and other earth-shattering drivel of yours, it must be the world's 8th wonder that you could actually make a comfortable living "anywhere in the world" as you claimed...Originally posted by sgdiehard:The latest catch for singapore is about rolls royce plant, what has climate issues at large in jurong west got to do with rolls royce plant? common sense??![]()

If by 'street smart' you mean ruthless and pig headed. And what are you trying to say? 'money making' = good and 'environmental consciousness' = bad?Originally posted by Daddy!!:normally it is street smart people who make money. knowledgeable people especially book worms don't.

looking down? no lah, just want to highlighting that air pollution problem is everywhere and Singapore government is already doing its part to ensure that chemical plants are located away from the main island, in places such as pulau bukum and jurong island.Originally posted by ^tamago^:people ask A u answer B. always so ready to look down on and shoot at other's people yeah?![]()

Don't even answer the question and call me names. Real mature. And I'd like to make a suggestion here. Whenever you see a tree near you cut it down ok? Make sure you do your part since you obviously don't understand the repercussions of pollutionOriginally posted by Daddy!!:the number one country in the world is also the worst polluter, young d.ick.
you could migrate to africa jungles to continue your love for nature.
Originally posted by fymk:Jurong has been an industrial area since the independence of Singapore. You are taking things out of context to suit yourself .
I was commenting to LazerLord not you . You just had to jump into things and make yourself look stupid. BTW when did I mention rolls royce plant? Rooki was attempting to explain to you out of pity about pollution because you cannot seem to get into your head while others can.
OK Let me make it very simple for you to understand:
1. I was talking about environmental issues in JURONG.
2. Those biodiesel plants are going to be in Jurong Island (Australian Natural Fuel) and Tuas (Finnish Neste Oil) plus ExxonMobile's Petrochemical complex in JI.
3.Which residential areas are near there? Jurong West, Boon Lay. In fact the whole Jurong town.
4. Rolls Royce plant is in Seletar. Not Jurong.
5. Ok let's get back to environmental factors in Jurong.
Your geography - Fail
Your science - Fail
Your comprehension - Fail
Good grief , I wonder if you are actually Singaporean who lived in Singapore before .
For once Gazelle actually does better than you by getting a very very slight idea of what we are talking about and as usual he went off the mark . The shame of it all.
