Detectives said that they believed that Ms Kercher may have been killed after refusing to take part in a violent sex orgy
Italian police said DNA taken from the toothbrush of 20-year-old Rudy Hermann Guede matched that found on Miss Kercher's body and on toilet paper in the house where she was murdered on the night of November 1.The test results showed Guede's DNA matched that found on a tampon which indicated that Miss Kercher had what was described as "violent" sex (rape) on the night she died. It also matched the DNA found on toilet paper in the bathroom.

Italian police today said that they expected Rudy Hermann Guede, the Ivory Coast immigrant suspected of involvement in the murder of Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy, to be extradited to Italy "within the next ten days".
